I've watched this video a few times now and I very much enjoy the coral placements. Everything flows together very well. I am especially fond of the Gorgonians, they made the tank =)
THANKS!! It was a gorgeous tank. Sadly the tank crashed & now holds a moray eel, a chocolate chip star & a small tang with some live rock. I have moved my reefkeeping efforts into a 180 gallon. I am still trying to figure out how to post a video of that with my new phone.
BTW- I wiped out my aptasia with 5 peppermint shrimp, and the lemon juice method...over 5 weeks of daily struggle,.
It's a 28G. , they are gorgonians in the pic . Sadly I moved on a 106 day and my tank crashed BIG TIME! I have 3 mushrooms, a bit of yellow sponge, some kenya tree babies, a small piece of chili coral, 2 damsels, a watchman goby & his pistol shrimp pal. Trying to decide if I want to break it down & start over again!! Not sure I will. I lost my HUGE pulsing xenia colony,a 13 head purple & green Acan Lord., and my 15" lime-yellow & hot pink open brain I grew out). Over $600 to "replace". :(
Thanks, I had a huge aiptasia outbreak...as in nothing left but those. 1000's of them. So, I tore it down, kept the rock with the least amount of aiptasia on it..bought some peppermint shrimp and used lemon juice to wipe those out. Did a lot of water changes & got my parameters under control ( all this took several mos.). I am just now starting again with a few easy corals to see how things go. New lights & powerheads on the way!
@BlacknBlueDoberMom yea i was starting to have an aiptasia problem they spead fast so im using aiptasia x is working good i was worried that it would affect my other corals but it didn't.
@BlacknBlueDoberMom Hi what light should I get is it T5 or metal halides? which light give more food to the corals and which light helps corals to grow?
Yeah, never had much luck with cleaner wrasse's before... but this guy eats everything from algae sheets to pellets & flakes! I hope he makes if for the long term.
Amazing tank. Great color and coral choice. Would recommend not buying cleaner wrasses- they serve a critical role on the natural reef and typically don't live long in home aquaria. Tank raised Neon gobies would be a good alternative. Nice job.
really nice tank, i love the composition of your corals, i like your wrasse too.

Your tank is gorgeous! The tank looks so alive and everything is beautiful! What size tank do you have, and what kind of lighting?
I'm planning to set up an 8gallon reef soon. :)
