Really nice tutorials that you're making, but at 5:43 you have a menu, I don't. I only have under node parameters-Mesh the following options: Build, Use Displacement, and open boundairies. You also seem to have auto polygon size, and so on. Can you Help me please?
Thanks in advance, Bogstar
PS: When I use a particles mesh (renderkit), instead of a 'grid mesh', I do have that options.
The only reason you will not see the RealFLow option at minute 7:35 of this video is because the RealFlow plugin for 3DS Max has not been installed previously. Make sure you install the latest plugins available from the Next Limit website.

Thank you-very well made, clear and straight forward tutorial. I'm still new to RF and trying to make a water balloon that hits a wall then breaks releasing the liquid-been trying to use a soft bodies but just can't figuer out how to break the balloon...if you have time it would be great to give me/us any tips please, thank you.
To speed up render-time, use the "Quicksilver" render INSTEAD of the "Mental ray" - not all materials work with Quicksilver but the "AutodeskWater" material does indeed work with it.
With my Geforce 260 gtx (OC) I got hd render times down to seconds instead of mins. (The Quicksilver use the Gpu to compute/render instead of the cpu which is a quard core in my case)
Thx for the tutorials they are great and a huge help :)
Can't wait for other video, btw i was wondering if it was possible to download those tutorial, because it can be painful with youtube to navigate into your video.
The step-by-step instructions are fantastic - thank you for going into such detail! Also, I really like the addition of the zoom-in on the menus - makes it so easy to follow along.

""Auto polygon size” and “Polygon size” have been removed in RealFlow 2012 and can now be found in the grid fluid domain's “Surface” panel."

@hdlect - I'm having a hard time finding the exact spot on that site where the plugins are. Do they cost anything?

@spyN09
Dear spyN09, the plugins are free. You have to own RealFlow 5 and subscribe to the NextLimit's Customer Gateway.
Good luck.

3ds Max has the RamPlayer to load the collection of pictures and save them into a avi file with no or min loss.

Thank you very much for this video and all your videos. It really makes difficult concepts very easy to understand.
I haven't seen any other video explain this in such simple and thorough manner.
Can wait for the next one.
