  • @happierpie not true. the washout rate is 70% on average. tends to be a bit more with combat control but never 90%

  • wow so this is what my dad did when he told me what he did im thinking that its a average job but its some pretty serious thing

  • How do I tryout?

  • True heroes!

  • Respect

  • less than 10% of those who try it will make it...

  • PJs are without question the most elite group of men in the US Military. If Seals get stuck, these guys rescue them.

  • You don't tryout for Pararescue. You either commit yourself to making it or find a different AFSC.

  • I'll do my tryouts in 2012!

  • @bbenally88 too bad the world is going to end by then.

  • If you seriously think the world is going to end you need help..

  • ... heehee.... Pj's...

  • Here we go Air Force

  • good luck laudividni777, i was going to go pj, but i went army airborne, shoulda gone pararescue. Shoot Straight.

  • Phenomenal, what a great service they provide, selflessly, professionally and expertly. Missed my calling 40 years ago. Went for Jet training and should have went for rescue and recovery. Love that service.

  • Pjs are the special forces for the airforce

  • @Medic10able PJ's are "one" of the spec ops programs the AF has to offer, they also have SOTW, SERE, CCT, and TACP.

  • If the NAVY rescue swimming doesn't work out, i am DEFINITELY going for this:D

  • @Hunteress90 PJ standards are literally set higher than Navy SEAL standards, thus the reason there are over 2000 seals and only 300 PJ's...that rescue swimmer job is like JV compared to seals and PJ...and if ur a female, which i assume with a name like jessica u are, you cant get into PJ as its for males only...just like CCT, TACP and SOWT which are all Air Force...u could try for SERE though, awesome training and u can teach spec ops how to survive- gosere.com

  • Im joining the Airforce very soon, and to become a ParaRescue Jumper is my Top goal.

I am ready to endure the Blood, Sweat, and Tears!

This is not just a Goal of mine, But a Destination.

    "So that others may live!!"

  • Going to Basic in 21 days I'm totally going for this, hell yeah.

  • @Laudividni777 did you do your PAST yet?

  • @Laudividni777 Good luck.
