If somebody has a "medieval" harp in her hands, she need not play medieval music... It can also be a wellknown English navy song or military march from 1832, named "The Saucy Arethusa". The piece can be known from the "Trouping the Colour", H.M. the Queen´s Birthday Parade, or even better, from "The Last Night of the Proms" - both held up annually in London. Please search for "Fantasia of British Sea Songs Part 1 - Proms" by user RupertJones, and listen carefully from the beginning !!
I'm sorry, no english version of the site yet, but it's on its way. As I can't post links anyway I'll just advise to google up Barbara Karlik. a link to my last fm page should appear :)
You're wrong. You managed an entire sentence, which definitely means that you can speak/write in English far better than Bush. ;-) Trust me, I know, I've been listening to his mangled speeches now for eight hellish years.
Although it's slightly difficult to hear what she's playing, I love the arrangement - really nicely done harmonies and just right, I think, for this particular piece.
Hello ;) Barbara is a student of university of agricultuer in Poznan. The tune she is playing is (If I hear correctly) a variation on O'Carolan's "Miss McDermot" and a trad. tune "raggle taggle gypsies"

Great! I like this music.
When I play lyre, I also hold the instrument at my left side as ancient people used to do.

From the way she's playing it, it seems she's left handed...

Actually I'm right-handed but I play left shoulder as I play the clairseach in a traditional way :)
