This game is positively fun with the ammo cheat. Hate not being able to use the Morita Carbine's burst fire mode more often. It's the ONLY way to get rid of armored bugs fast, provided you have no rocket launcher. Also, the portable nuke launcher is a hoot to fire at bugs in the background.

@Eshayzbra96 It's a path for the game, it doesn't matter where or how it was downloaded. You can find the version of your game in the welcome screen, in one of the bottom corners.

There is not harm at all with patching, it's valid for any version. The release notes are in the same link at gamershell.
