I am a new Geocacher and I went on my first trip this morning. We went to four locations and only found one micro cache. It doesn't matter because I still had fun!
@TheCraigDownhill Ahh, a true geocacher does not question IF it is raining out but HOW MUCH it is raining out.. Course we live in hurricane country :) Thanks for writing in.
Yep that is one of my favorite sayings. In North Carolina it can be a real life saver. Way too many venomous snakes and critters to not be careful and ultimately safe. Welcome to the obsession :) -HHH
Once again this is another great cache. We took my older sister and her kids with us out geocaching this last summer along with my younger sister, and one of my brother's daughter and son. We were the FTF on a cache here in Utah (GC1VGTY) and we placed a couple caches while we were with them. It was fun.
Sounds like you had a well rounded geocaching trip. Awesome. Taking the family can really enhance a geocaching experience. Especially if you are prepared for what awaits you during the trip. Be safe. -HHH
But of course. In fact I am going to try and set up a special booth just for people to come by and say hi. Who knows you may end up on the next GeoSnippits or even Michigan Magazine TV!!!
Geocaching you do both. For most there are people who just like to find geocaches. Others like myself also like to hide geocaches for others to find. Sometimes it's almost as much fun to hide them as it is to find them. Hope this helps. -HHH
Great Video! but I have a question to all geocachers, When you geocache and you bring that walking pole does it get annoying if you just wanna leave it somewhere but you gotta take it. Where i live we don't have to worry about snakes so im good so i don't carry one
Great question: personally I like a walking stick while hiking. It comes in handy when walking in soft, wet or slippery areas. That and we do need it for snakes and critters. Glad you like the vid -HHH
My dad and i always take the neighbours caching, and family too!
I went to austria this holiday, and we accidentally met more dutch people there, we told them about caching, and they loved it. they walked with us the whole 6 hours the cash took to get to the cash!
Hey my friend, Sounds like you had a blast.. Appreciate the high rating... Keep on watching.. BTW we now have a contest for video suggestions to win a pathtag.. Check out my blog.. -HHH

"Number one rule of geocaching: Poke it with a stick".
LOL! Happy to be in Nova Scotia. No poisonous snakes or spiders here!
Of course, it is possible to be carried off by a blackfly...
