I'm happy these people were strong enough to go to school and forget all the hatred those people had on them, I am black and never a day I'll let someone tell me different cause of the color of my skin! Besides I'm off to college this upcoming summer, and many more Africans proved my school wrong!
what is your problem? the color of skin does NOT make the person and we are all the same. Read the book Warriors Don't Cry and then tell me you're still racist!
@johnjohnqwertyqwerty Like every race, there was always a criminal element of the black race, even whilst MLK was alive. It just got glamourized in the mid '80s.
@johnjohnqwertyqwerty What you don't understand is every race has bad people. You think white people don't rob, steal, cheat and kill people, then your as dumb as rock! Apparently in making these statements you've proved yourself to be a white person but a white person whose still carrying his parents and their parents metality of racist thinking. I hope you don't pass it on to your children or maybe you shouldn't have any.
ok seriously, how do u think those white people who were so racist in that school feel of what they did?????????? do they think they did something bad? Im pretty sure they did a very bad thing and its a shame of what the little rock 9 had to go through
Dr. King would be incredibly proud of millions of young black youth today. Across America, youth fight prejudice every day, and continue to deliver brilliance in what they do.
Instead of focusing on the kids gone wrong, why can't we be elevating the kids that have done right, and let THEM become the beacon for the others kids to follow.
The Little Rock 9 showed the kind of courage that is bringing Barack Obama to the White House, and youth now have a new American role model to look to.
I can't imagine what was going through their heads when they were walking into the school. They needed the National Guard to protect them from the rioters. God was walking with them that day. God bless those nine for having the courage to stand up before a nation and do the "impossible" at that time in our history.
MESSAGE TO WHITE FOLKS WHO FAVORITE SEGREGATION ... GO BACK TO EUROPE...OOP! Sorry Europe is not all white anymore. maybe another planet :D

What happened to today's black youth? Dr. King would be very disgusted with them. Spoiled and just concerned about making quick drug money.
Also..why do black youth dress like clowns? The clothing is horrible....lets come togehter and lose those stereotypes...
JesseJackson007 3 years ago
What the hell was wrong with white people? You should be disgusted with them.
You canNOT talk about how today's black YOUTH behave compared to the white ADULTS of that day.
I'm certain the same thing is wrong with both groups: RACISM!

I can't imagine their courage or the courage of their parents.
I can't imagine I would allow my child to go through that. They had a courage and determination I cannot fathom.
