I know exactly how you feel, my dad died 2 days after my 5th birthday and I am now 14, it hurts me every single day knowing that I dont have any memories of him, ihavent even got any photos of me with him because he was diagnosed with lukeamea ever since I was 1, all I have to remind me of dad is the memories everyone else in my family tells me about, its really hard :'(

It'll be a year on the 20th that I lost my father to Kidney Failer. I was maybe the closest to him because I took care of him everyday. Some advice that I give to kids who have lost there fathers is that It never gets better but, you have other people who are there for you.

I never had the blessing of knowing how it is to have been loved by a dad and how it is to love one but what I do know is how much I yearned for one and how much I needed one. Now married, I can see and sort of "live it" through my children esp. my daughter and oh how blessed and happy they are with their wonderful daddy! He was reading Tintin books for me and my brother, I learnt a lot from him, stamp collecting, photography, cricket, ride a bicycle ....so many.

Life is temporary, however, things you learn and people you meet within that short period of time stays in your mind permanently. My father is one of them in my life, we played, ate, learn together. He was reading Tintin books for me and my brother, I learnt a lot from him, stamp collecting, photography, cricket, ride a bicycle ....so many.
He was with me protecting me for 34 years, after teaching me all that he left me and all us in 2005 Feb 1st, 6 years from now...still I love him so much.

cont... i wanted to take it away, the doctors told me they had a cure though. he died three days later... of cancer. i didnt get to say bye. or that i loved him... i feel more and more pain every day. I am turning 16 this year. I miss you daddy R.I.P. Please take my advice and send time with your loved ones while you have them and tell them you love them. :'(

My dad died two weeks before christmas... Him and my mom got a divorce when i was 6 years old.... i still remember when he left. i didn't get to say goodbye i just remember him driving away in his jeep and me chasing it. Then nine years later this summer i found out he was back in the prison in minnesota so i could visit him i found out he had cancer so ive spent the past four months with him. We take some things in life 'for granted' even though we don't consciously do so. If I had one more day to spend with my Dad,I'd try and make up everything and anything I ever did to upset him, ever. Funny, but even though I'd do that, he'd tell me to knock it off and remind me of how he's always loved me through it all. I love you Daddy.

He left in the mid 50's for a new life in S Africa ,when he filed for divorce 3yrs later ,my mum banned me from ever writting to him again ,th tie was lost forever ,but i never stopped loving him .
