this track is AMAZING!!! this is where the ozzy GP should be located (of course itll never be, and if it is theyll ruin it with loads of tarmac run-off and couple of chicanes). And why isnt this in forza msport yet??

My first day at Mt Panorama, this happens. My second trip to Bathurst saw a Holden on the Brock trophy for the first time, and most recently, Craig Lowndes breaking the lap record..... seems something significant happens every time i'm in the crowd :D

im neither a for or a holden man, in a mopar fan, but i have to disagree with the last comment, he hasn't quite had the same machinery since he left kmart racing, yet he's always near the top at bathurst. sure bathurst is one race and not the whole season, but bathurst always brings out the best in the drivers, and his best is nearly better than anyone elses, even in cars that arent quite up to speed. take last years bathurst for example. he knows how to set a car up.

might i also point out excelent commentry... on other races half the time the guys dont know wat ther on about or even know whos winning... Also they have the commentry a bit too loud this year cuz like in this you can really hear the v8 but now u cant... i have to keep turnin the stereo up full to even slighly get a rumble through the woofer haha. of course being there beats that.

It may have been the last year of the light weight 5 litre internal being used by all the Holden teams (and ford) but it was a spot on 10/10th's grab it by the neck drive it like you stole it and bring it home in 1 piece drive...Go Murphy. What a drive job..

Nick, it comes down to the conditions @ the time e.g air and track temp. This car was just a rocket from the word go... good on fuel, looked after its tyres... u could drive this thing flatout all day and it will still deliever the times required.

2007 i think you will see this time be smashed with the new VE commodore.

Love the Murph! Was hoping someone had posted this lap. Love the look on Bowe's face when they cut to him in the pits. Only thing I hate, why won't Crompton shut up when they go to in car shots and audio. For Christ's sake I got 2 kids and drive a Mazda 2! I watched that race and lap live, and "what a lap", i just watched that footage 3times and goosebumps every time. murphy and kelly won that race twice back to back

This driver and his co-driver went on to win the Bathurst 1000 km Endurance race that year and the year after! His record still stands as the fastest at Mount Panorama, Bathurst. A true legend.
