  • YYYYYY!!!!!, u been very helpful to me *thumbs up* :))

  • Y!!!!! really great-- for the first time i actually drew a face that actually looked like a face. would have liked some more explanation of how to shade and how to shade in a gradual way-- but still it was a great intro for a total beginner like me, thank you

  • man u is a genuis with dat pauly d hair exect pauly d hair is pointed up

  • i found the vid good for drawing a head

  • If all manga was as high quality as yours, the world would be a better place.

  • Nice drawing :) P.S. Your smoke detector needs new batteries.

  • do the drawing a little slower for beginners or have a beginner's session but it was helpful, I like how you said "just relax" for it can be stressful when you do not know to draw and would like to do so genuinely and have nice artwork

  • yesssssssssssss

  • yes thank you

  • how did you do the hair?? especially the highlights?

  • YES

  • Great vid!!! Awesome drawing!

  • what kind of pens are consider medium size pens

  • Y

It was very helpful to see how you did it. The only thing I would suggest would be to explain a little more about the hair, not necessarily show how you did it, because I'm sure it took a long time, but a short explanation of how you blocked in the black and maybe how you chose to put it where. But otherwise this was very helpful and very well explained!!

    Thank you! :)

  • YES!!!!! XD

  • thx!! and thats a damn cool accent u got thar lol

  • Yes

  • that ear

  • I love how you shaded the picture. I just wished you could have explained the hair part, since it's one of those areas that I have trouble with... And one little thing that I wanna point out. The size of the guy's ear is too big on him, maybe a little downsize would do him good.

  • I LOOOOVE your voice. And your hands. They are so gracefully shaped *_*

  • yes =)

  • That is sick thanks for help

  • Hello, your video is very cool and very informative. I like to draw and sketch once in a while and even that I don't do it often I enjoy it and started posting videos a few weeks ago. I'm not sure I would work in your style but it I love to see other people work. Looking forward to see more your stuff. Have a great day.

  • DUDE! I use the same pens for inking. :)

  • its nice love the hear my and answer is yes and a lot maybe when i draw a nother of my own characters ill try it

  • Yes.

  • Yes

  • yes

  • it was a good drawing but i think that you should have explained where are the key points in the image that makes it pop out . at the end of the video i see the shading but i still need to know how and where did you know were to put your marks for shading

  • @solyasha Basically I imagine a shadow cast over the figure and that's where I shade.

  • @solyasha look at yourself in the mirror and look and draw from pictures of people on the internet. Drawing from your head is an all-important skill, but you won't know what to imagine if you haven't any experience with real life examples of the subject (in this case, a human face.

  • @solyasha Imagine the human skull w/o the skin on it...then you will see where to start and end your shading

  • yes! this does help me, and also if it didnt thy are still cool videos

  • yes brillant

  • Nice :) thanks

  • It's Mahn-Gah by the way.Sorry that just irks me when people say -Mang-a

  • yes :D

  • big time yes! i like your videos the way they are

  • Nice video and yes it was helpful. It looks to me that you are using Faber Castell PITT Pens for the inking which I also use. I am trying to use more crosshatching in my drawings. This was inspiring.

  • 5:08 POOF magic :O

  • YES

  • yerrrr

  • YESS X :)

  • yes i use to draw terribly but your videos helped me get a lot better

  • yes

  • yes ;)

  • You're right one needs to be mindful about blotches/dark spots, but crosshatching is best achieved with speed when using ink.

  • I think it looks pro! :o

  • I don't think he was going for total realism. It is a comic character after all. And crosshatching is one of the best ways to shade. I feel you should always use this method even if you plan to smooth it out later, at least with graphite. And since there's really no way to smooth out ink, crosshatching would be best in this case.

  • @timmy84301 You're right my friend.

  • @minicustom

Superbly done. I'm trying to guess your accent...

    Zimbabwe?

(forgive me if I'm way off)

  • @063446983 Or you can upload a video. It's on thing to critique someones work with a comparison of yours, otherwise you're a coward.

    Or full of shit.

  • @063446983 If you want to help people, shut the fuck up. (:

  • @063446983 Sorry, I don't want to be insulting, but you should shut your know-it-all mouth.

  • Yes!! You're art-style is amazing and your tutorials help so much!Thank you so much for making them. T_T *tears of joy*

  • yes

  • yes

  • very good drawing there u are an great artist !

  • YES!!!!!!!!!

  • yes

  • Yes! Very much! :D Thank you for uploading these videos!

  • errr.... no. You are a great artist and I respect you. Your tutorials are good. You just focus on certain things. (I hate to do this but) When Mark Crilly does a video he shows how to draw more things than just say a nose or manga boy vs animal, but he also does nonstop promotion >.>.

Anyway the other reason is because your style is old. It resembles western more than manga that isn't bad just... misleading. The only thing I think you should change or improve on is making videos based----

  • --- more on perspective, shading, anatomy, and (I wish someone would do a video about this SOMEWHERE on youtube) story and/or plot development. Anyway I like your videos and I respect you as an artist. 5/5 and I have already subbed. My point I am trying to give lagit constructive critiscism/advice.

  • Your amazing o-o

  • yes, great talent!
