As for your comments, I agree. Nothing is more annoying than seeing people comment negatively because of the difficulty of a song or due to the genre. We all enjoy different types of music, if you don't like it, just move on. :)

The fill at 1:34 , I'm trying to do a longer fill like this for an american idiot drum cover. I've just been trying to count while flicking off between the snare and crashes. We're you counting triplets during that fill? Idk I just have trouble coming back in on 1, whenever I nail the fill it's just from listening to the other instruments knowing when to crash and come back in.

Eh. I was only asking because my drum teacher is stressing counting and other basics. He's having me learn snare and rudiments as part of my lessons so I can apply them around the set in fills. Not to mention how much he wants me to count.

And counting is incredibly helpful too- when it gets down to independence in rhythm.

soem of the best songs are the simplest. Dont be too proud to play them. Remember its about entertainment value. There are no gold medals for playing the most complex songs. PS your Hi hats still need adjuasting to put the lip of the bottom cymabl in under the top one.
