Iv'e been thinking about getting this.. It looks really awesome.. Alot of people from the VA Caribsky flies it. I just dont know if iv'e got the skills you know.. It's alot to teach myself, i'm sticking with IFLY 737, PMDG 747 & QW 757 also Level-D 767 so far. LOL
@nikthepilot I definitely encourage you to get it! It's not really difficult, it's just more to learn and of course not being a Boeing, it differs quite a bit regarding eg how you handle the AP. But it's very rewarding once you get the hang of it. You also have to be more careful you handle it, since it contains more failure options than the other ones you are mentioning. Don't add fuel too early or you might fry the engines during startup, the same way it does with Aeroworx Kingair 200.
@amineoukridpower In replay Maddog will sometimes show the reverser deployed altough it isn't. You hear from the sound from within the cockpit when it actually was activated, that is on the ground. It's even impossible to deploy it in the air.
@lkmofo I have no experience of the CLS but it does seem to have a very good looking VC while on the systems side it's pretty simplified compared to the Maddog. I guess which one is better depends on what YOU are looking for and prioritize.
that was a good video, thanks man, even managed to pick up a few tips, I have the maddog 2010 and fs2crew and this has helped me.........what more can I ask in a you tube video?......a big thumbs up!
I have bought the maddog 2010 pro. The aircraft is very well simulated and it feels very realistic. However the graphics are outdated. I wish they had updated graphics in this new edition. I also fly the PMDG aircrafts like the JS4100 which have very nice graphics in addition to realism at same level as Maddog. I don't regret that I bought it anyway, since I like MD80. I don't have FS2Crew for the Maddog. I have it for the JS4100 and once you get used to it you cannot fly without.
@anakletor I agree with everything you said although PMDG themselves have stated that the JS4100 actually is a "lightweight" simulation. Unfortunately even with my i7920@3,8Ghz I struggle to run the JS4100 in FSX. If I get say 60 fps in a stock FSX airplane, it drops to 12-13 in the JS4100 and really becomes unbearable. Need to do something radical before the NG arrives on our harddisks!
@kittealand I run FSX on a i7 860@4.2GHz and the JS4100 indeed takes my system to its knees. I get no more than 20 fps on addon airports with addon AI traffic. I agree. The Maddog is not any better though. Actually I get even lower fps with the Maddog. I guess PMDG have stated that JS4100 is a lightweight simulation because it does not simulate failures, which is a big letdown, but when it comes to how the aircraft behaves I find it very realistic, even though I am not a pilot in RW.
yo r the GPWS from FS2CREW or are they part of the maddog soundset cause im debating wether to get the maddog or F1 super 80 or CLS MD80.. to many options.. loved the video btw
I "think" it's part of the Maddog. Can't confirm now since I am re-instaling everyting on the comp. I can't comment on the other MD80's since I don't have them. I did have the first version of F1 super80 that I really liked, but if you want reality I don't think any of them can touch Maddog md82.
MASCM - What a donkey! The video isn't about HIM dummy, it's about the imersion into the sim with FS2Crew! Beside that, the MadDog is a pretty tough bird to fly correctly. What's the video address of YOU flying the MadDog perfectly? Before you bother to rag on me, I have over 1,000 real world hours. He did just fine..
@w4fej Thanks for the comment the both of you! :D First regarding the reversers, that sequence is a replay that I filmed and as a result the reversers will be shown in flight too, although I only engaged them after touch down. Also, regarding speed control, of course I knew I was coming in hot but as w4fej points out it's about showing the immersion. It was my third or fourth attempt with FS2crew and I was busy reading the manual while doing the flight! :D
Whoa! what's with the reverser on flight? And you need to practice some speed control too. You might as well not have used the checklists my man. But thanks anyway for sharing. :)
hello buddy! i got your answer about the stock arlanda video! thanks for your reply... i like scandinavian lands thats why im so curious. whats the name of this airfield and where did u get it from ? thanks. i also got this md80 which is a real beauty thats the plane i fly the most. cheers

@macsm He wasn't using reverser in flight. It sometimes happens during a replay with the maddog. Happens to me as well.

Hey there, I just bought the maddog08 and fs2crew 2010.
How did you get the F/A Landing briefing or was that edited in.
And how come when I am trying to adjust spd on the A/T it says ALFA SPD and goes full throttle?
