  • My grandpa served for the 7th Infantry Division in Korea as a Medic. He carried a man up a hill and was shot. God Rest his soul. He is no longer with us but my mom and I want to know a lot more about him with the 7th ID.

  • My dad fought with the 7th, all 4 battles...led a squad of riflemen...he answered the last roll call in August of '06 but he's still with us, every day, especially when we see videos like this. I thank God every day for men like him who did this service for us, and I pray every day for those whose ignorance prevent them from acknowledging the sacrifice which was made for them. He was discharged on points before the Division left for Korea. He was always very proud to have served with the 7th.

  • Great footage of this great Army division. My father, now 91, served with the 7th (17th Regiment) in all of its campaigns, and is proud of it.

  • There's more than a whiff of post-war jingosim here, but you can hardly blame the guys who went through this hell for it. It does allow for some very frank admissions of the horrors that the Pacific War entailed, so it's a win in my book.
