  • what field did they play on if it's different type of fields

  • He is a simple answer to this. How many CFL players have done well in the NFL? I think of current players Cameron Wake and Brandon Browner. Now... How many NFL players would OWN it in the CFL? Not to be rude but CFL could put their best team against this past seasons colts w/o manning and would still lose.

  • Did they combine rules???

  • I've watched both countries play and I can honestly say, the NFL just has that X-Factor when it comes to the sport. I feel like they just play with so much more intensity and dedication. On a side note, the NFL players look 4X larger than CFL players, I'm not saying that's important, but you could take that any way you wanted to haha.

  • gridiron football started in the united states in the late 19th century out of the older games related to the games now known as rugby football and association football. The predominant form of gridiron football is "American" football, American Walter Camp is credited with creating the rules that differentiate gridiron football from its older counterparts, The international governing body for all forms of gridiron football is the International Federation of "American" Football (IFAF).

  • @EricSHinton Actually genius, the first game was between a Canadian and American university, and the rules were a mix of soccer from the Americans and rugby from the Canadians, that had come from the british stationed in Montreal. Camp's influence came much, much later.

  • NFL and CFL are different but similar leagues. However, as a Canadian, I'm dedicated to my country's game. Nuff said.

  • The CFL is the better game, IMHO. The wide-open field & one less down makes for a faster-paced game! The points structure for kicks & No Yards rule makes the CFL even more unique!

  • As a fan of both leagues, I can say with confidence that:

    1. The NFL has better athletes and players

    2. The CFL has better rules and a larger field which makes for a superior game for fans.

The NFL recently adopted the CFL's overtime concept, but if the NFL ever adopted other CFL rules which make our game more exciting (ie one foot in bounds for pass completions, 25-yard end zone, wider field, no fair-catch with the receiving team fielding all punts), then the CFL would be in trouble.

  • canada would whoop us in hockey because they are dedicated to it

we would whoop them in football because we are dedicated to it

and this vid was made back in the early days back when nobody watched football and when baseball was the shit

  • nfl all stars vs cfl all stars... who who will win... LMAO

  • I would like to see green bay packers, (american team) vs one of your canadien team and see who wins! NFL FTW

  • @natethepain The BC lions would win.

  • @Verozzani CFL is starting to do more tricks too, and I speack for every fan in saying I love it and want more!

  • @mrhalo635 wrong, I bet you if the browns faced agaist the GC champion, they would lose. The Elite in the CFL is about as goos as a mid level NFL team, that means the Browns would get busted up.

  • @cashmoneysf more like 40% are americans, but other than that, your dead right, go on ya!

  • NFL is getting soft

  • The Bombers of the late 80's team speed on defense was so superior to the NFL that I think we could have murdered the 49ers at that time. Too bad our offence was horrible.

  • @WatchVenusSpa Wrong. The 49ers of the 80's were perhaps the most power offense of all time. And I hate the god dam 49ers. But truly, nobody was going to to cover Jerry Rice in his prime. The West Coast offense

was innovative for it's time. The 49ers had one of the best QB's of all time in Joe Montana and later Steve

Young. They also had an effective running came with Roger Craig. Sorry Bombers would have gotten bombed

  • @andrewr62 In terms of team speed, NOBODY clocked better than the Bombers did between 1988-1990. Size issues and politics, (Rod Hill was insane or he would have been a Pro Bowler,) was why they were in our league. On a wide field, Joe would have gotten killed by his slow o-line, (that killed him the next year against the Giants,) and our speed would have killed Rice and company. (Ask Terry Greer who was a 9er at that time, he got OWNED by our D regularly when he was in Toronto.)

  • @WatchVenusSpa Terry who? Greer was a bust as an NFL receiver. 352 yds in 6 years. Yet he had the biggest receiving season in CFL history. My point exactly. The talent level between the two leagues overall is not on the same level. That's not to say the individuals cannot be successful in either league.

  • @mrhalo635 Maybe, but the BC Lions would crush the Colts at BC Place 38-10!!! Eat shit!!!

  • The NFL would never play the CFL because they know they could lose.

  • @louielovett what planet are u on man

  • @louielovett Not likely. The CFL is made mostly of players who would play in the NFL if they were good enough. There is talent in the CFL just not alot of players ready for prime time or big money.

  • @andrewr62 Not always, most of them are great players that just aren't the right fit for the NFL game but still great atheltes that have a go at the canadian game, which is about as different to the american game as rugby league to rugby union, and some manage to fit and becaome stars up there.

  • @andrewr62 That is not true, A lot of CFL players have moved on to the NFL. Emmanuel Arceneaux for example, and he is not NEARLY the best reciever the CFL had that year, he was average. The CFL is generally for people to small to be in the NFL. Im 100% sure Geroy Simon is a better receiver than ANYBODY in the NFL

  • Hamilton Tiger-Cats 38 Buffalo Bills 21 - Right on!!!

  • @louielovett you left out New York Giants 20, Ottawa Rough Riders 6 1951: New York Giants 38, Ottawa Rough Riders 6 1959: Chicago Cardinals 55, Toronto Argonauts 26 1960: Pittsburgh Steelers 43, Toronto Argonauts 26 1961: St. Louis Cardinals 36, Toronto Argonauts 7

    1961: Chicago Bears 34, Montreal Alouetts 16

  • This would be an interesting thing to see today

  • cfl would destroy the nfl

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Ummm what?! How does scrolling back to past pages make my comment irrelevant?

  • I respect this more than todays game!

  • @Verozzani

Why do you say Jim Everett was soft?

  • @AllPro777 The phantom sack, and testimony from other players to back that up.

  • cfl

  • @Verozzani Let's see the Eskimos have won how many Grey Cups? Your argument that the NFL is superiour to the CFL is severely flawed. The CFL has been around alot longer than the joke called the NFL. It's not my fault that Americans can't understand a far superiour form of football is being played north of the border. The only reason the CFL experiment failed in the US is bacause Americans are too dumb to realize that the CFL is better or they know and they don't want to admit it.

  • @hattrick1972 My singular argument is that UDFA's and Harvard college kids aren't better than first-, second-, third-, fourth-, or fifth-rounders, unless they're a complete draft bust. I don't need an argument other than the CFL plucks its "talent" out of the bottom of the barrel, just like the AFL. Last I checked, anybody would rather have Julio Jones than Tim Toone. Only the American Football League and USFL have even come remotely close to matching the NFL, because they shared the draft.

  • @hattrick1972 a cfl team can't match up to an nfl team. cfl offenses and defenses are simplistic. you have your 4 man fronts on defense. 5 wr/1rb sets from shotgun/pistil. the 3 downs in the cfl contribute a lot to all the passing yards, while in the nfl its more balanced out creating that need for confusion on defense. you never hear how good calvillo is because of his ability to read defenses because that part is left out of the cfl causing it to be high scoring weekly.

  • @soadisthebestnumber1 It's mindnumbingly stupid how everyone thinks that the CFL can't match up against the NFL. NFL fans are brainwashed into thinking it's superiour. The CFL is a far more entertaining to watch. There aren't any overpaid pansies like the NFL has.

  • @hattrick1972 you don't know a lot about the nfl clearly so you're brainwashed into thinking that a league, that has less money has better players/coaches/teams. its pretty obviously where the better players are. the cfl takes the nfl's scrap.

  • *don't get drafted

  • @Verozzani Oh you mean the overpriced pansies that play in the NFL. They never ever impressed me. Panthers? The team that's been a long running joke in the NFL along with the Raiders and the annual 1-15 Lions? Montreal's Anthony Calvillo and Edmonton's Ricky Ray would pass so much on the Panthers, along with 95% of the NFL.(using only 2 downs) that the defence would be having nightmares until they retire.

  • @hattrick1972 Keep in mind there's a reason most of your players don't drafted in the NFL Draft. The Bears with a Cover 2 variant (Lovie 2) would pick off Ray at least two times. The Seahawks employ the Bandit, and Ray would be sacked at least four times. The Steelers: Troy Polamalu would get at least two picks. The Ravens: Lewis and Reed would each get a pick. The Jets: Revis gets three picks. The Eagles: Asomugha and Samuel get two picks apiece.

  • @Verozzani The Seahawks? Are'nt they they the same team that picked Brian Bosworth and Dan McGuire? Polamalu is a substandard pleyer and lacks the talent to play in the CFL. He's not that good. NFl players couldn't handle the way the CFL plays the game. It's a passing league and the receivers would have a field day with ANY NFL defence. The NFL CAN'T hang with the CFL. FAce the facts pendejo. THe CFL will always be superior the the NFL. The CFL has been around longer. END OF DISCUSSION.

  • @hattrick1972 lololololz, I love how you address maybe three of my many points.

Troy Polamalu is a living legend, and I absolutely despise the Steelers.

College football has been around much longer than the NFL, and yet, the only college teams that would ever beat a 9-7 or 10-6 NFL team would be 2001 Miami, 1971 Nebraska, 1972 USC, 1995 Nebraska, and 1974 Oklahoma.

    Chinga a tu madre.

Oh, don't forget that the NFL has become pass heavy, dumbass. Nickel 3-3-5 defense (Ravens, college) wins.

  • Both Leagues are sweet.

  • @41D5Buckets The worst NFL team could beat the best CFL team? I highly doubt the Detroit Lions could beat any CFL team, they may get a single but that's all they would score. Actually watch a CFL game and you will see for yourself. CFL has been around longer, since it's Canadian uneducated Americans don't know alot about it.

  • @hattrick1972 Wrong again bud. Detriot Lions aren't the worst team in the NFL. That would go to the Carolina Panthers. Even then, it doesn't matter, I would put money on it that the Panthers would still win. I've seen quite a few CFL games and I'm just not convinced that a CFL team could match up with an NFL team.

  • @41D5Buckets Detroit will always be the worst team. Did Carolina ever go 0-16? A CFL team would pass the ball so much on an NFL team and beat them so bad it would be ridculous. Plus they would do it in less than 3 downs. None of this 4 down stuff in the CFL and no pansy fair catch either. CFL players are better runners, they have to be, they have an extra 10 yards between end zones, plus it the a kickoff or punt is received deep in the end zone they have even more yards to cover.

  • Back in the 50s and 60s the CFL was at a level as good as the NFL because of the strong Cdn dollar which attracted top college talent away from NFL teams.Once the AFL got into full swing those glory days of the CFL were done bar snagging the best black QBs until the NFL saw the error of its ways.

  • I watch both leagues, and love both leagues. They are sufficiently different to make it worthwhile to watch both. Hell, I'll even watch the AFL. The more gridiron football, the better!!

  • Think of it this way, if you have two players that are just as fast, just as strong, just as "talented", but one is 6'5 - 280, and the other is 6'0 - 235, 9 times out of 10 the NFL would choose the bigger guy.

Does that mean that the 6 foot guy is garbage?

  • It really is a matter of preference. The CFL features the best players not in the NFL. Obviously the higher dollars down south are going to ensure the superstars play there, but with a talent pool as vast as the NCAA, the sheer number of great players with no home in the NFL is staggering.

The talent gap is not as large as one might think. With few exceptions CFL QB's are not as accurate as their NFL counterparts, but the other positions are reasonably comparable.

  • Which is better to watch, that is totally subjective to the viewer as to whether they prefer high scoring or more of a defensive/strategic game. On the matter of talent, the CFL is just as athletic as the NFL, the difference is that the average NFL player is taller and weighs more while mainting the same speed. Kind of like the difference between D1 NCAA football vs D2 & D3. CFL is a great prodct but the fact is bigger $ while bring in better talent.

  • @liberal20111 Why don't you take that little brain and read the other comments IK typed. Maybe seeing your stupidity will help show you how dumb you are.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Cool.Did not figure they still had segregated schools. You guys have a shit tone of colleges down there. Its cool they give sports scholarships tho unlike here. They only give academic scholarships. I loved linebacker when I played.Rather hit the bastard with the ball then be hit..lol. Good luck on your ventures. Like I said if you cant make NFL the CFL is a good option.Only down side is allot less money for the beating your body goes through, but its for the love of the game.

  • @MrBudlightrocks It's not segregated. It's just a nickname. It's just that the school. is majority black. Unlike most colleges. It's open to all students. I think it's around 10% white. Now I have to remove those other comments before I get in trouble.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Oh.OK sorry.

  • @MrBudlightrocks That's all right, no prob.

  • Back in the day. Like this video. The CFL was on even footing with NFL and signed top Draft picks like Joe Theismann. But now days, the CFL is full of cut, or undrafted college players who are too slow and too small to play in the NFL. Ask any CFL player and he will admit he would play in the NFL if he could. The players are slower and smaller. It's a fact. Of course fanboy canadians will be upset over this and want to make it seem more. But it isn't. I do admit that at one time they were even.

  • Yes thats right Yo must be the only one to play football bud.So only you know. Lots of 300lbs track stars.Clearly the yank game must be far superior. But like I said when you have the money obviously you get the better players. The CFL is a much faster game.3 downs a bigger field, and 20 sec time clock along with other rule differences make it so. Good luck on your Football ventures. Just remember if you cant make the NFL the CFL is a good option.

  • @MrBudlightrocks Please read carefully before you criticize. I specifically said quote "Most NFL SKILL players are track stars in College." 3 downs would make the game so much easier for an NFL defense. Three and outs is what they dream of. 4 downs is far more challenging for a defense. And an NFL offensive wouldn't need 4 downs to get a first down on a CFL defense. CFL corners suck, and there's barely a running game in the CFL. The players definitely aren't faster. I want some proof. Some stats

  • @jsmasterlubu3 I had to look up Hampton U.What position do you play? Is Hampton any good? I dont get to see much US college ball. Only what the big networks air up here.Normally Irish, army-navy and the odd bowl game. I like college ball.

  • Why would either league want to risk injury in a CFL-NFL game?? I dont need a game between them to know I like CFL better. The NFL has bigger and mostly better players, that suit their style of football. The CFL needs generally smaller faster players do to the size of field. The wide open fast paste throwing game of the CFL is what to me make it better to watch.

  • @MrBudlightrocks CFL players are DEFINITELY not faster than NFL players, just smaller.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 If you say so.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 so u are saying the average NFL D lineman can run as far and as fast as a CFL D lineman?? You Obviously have not watched much football nor played.

  • Comment removed

  • I used to live near the U.S.-Canadian border on the American side and I always loved watching the CFL, especially from Canada Day until the NFL season started in early September. As for the future, how about a two-game exhibition in August of some year -- an NFL team playing at a CFL team and an NFL team hosting a Canadian team. "Regional" games would be best ... maybe Seattle at BC, Toronto at Buffalo, Detroit at Hamilton or Calgary at Minnesota. Host teams would play by host country rules.

  • @chippewaman1975

That would be a brilliant idea.

  • I like that the CFL and NFL are different. Always have. I frankly hate the NFL--it's so bullshit and full of itself. Like nothing else matters at all.

  • CFL And Buffalo Fans – The NFL Is Coming To Toronto

  • @torontobills You wish. Terry Pegula. Good night.

  • @tyronemartin59 Are you black

  • From what I've heard NFL teams dominated CFL teams.

  • @FRSFreeStateES If you watched the video, the CFL had 2 wins, and the NFL had 2 wins. If you were educated, you would be able to count up those huge numbers.

  • @ironmaidenforlife123

    LOL thanks for the laugh

  • @ironmaidenforlife123

wrong. the nfl won all games vs cfl team. look it up bozo

  • @albanypjm Wrong. What I said was right. NFL did not win all games vs. CFL. Look it up NFL fanboy

  • @ironmaidenforlife123

cfl won one game v an afl team, not an nfl team

  • @albanypjm So the Buffalo Bills aren't an NFL team huh...

  • @ironmaidenforlife123

not in 1961 they weren't. they were a second year afl team.

  • So whose rules did they play by in these games? Did the Americans have to pick a twelfth player from the bench?

  • @venomousspiderwookie No, they played with mixed rules

  • i wish the cfl and nfl would merge thatd be awesome

  • CFL RULES BABY!

  • @xRipzo Same I dont really watch football I just watch my schools homecoming football game and the superbowl those are the two football games i watch a year and I'm a fan of the Blackhawks so yeah...But words of a fellow Canadian Foster Hewitt "Hockey is known as Canadas national sport but it's really a great international sport."

  • so basically, CFL is the current champion in head to head cfl/nfl showdowns.

  • The NFL has better players, more fans, more expensive EVERYTHING and it's a bigger deal all around. That is because there are more people and there's more money in America. However, which is the better game? I like the CFL. Bigger field, motion in the backfield, and an extra player leaves more room for creativity. CFL games can be very exciting, and the quality of players is not completely clear. The average CFL player is not much worse than the average NFL player.

  • @ironmaidenforlife123 united statians sound kinda funny i think we should be called all called Americans since Canada ,untied states and Mexico since where on the same content

  • @brassbulletblood silly

    If you're from Canada you're a Canadian

    If you're from Mexico you're a Mexican

If you're from the United States of America you're a United States of American...or just an American for short.

  • @brassbulletblood Don't forget about South America...

  • @thatapplegeek ok i guess

  • CFL And Buffalo Fans – The NFL Is Coming To Toronto

  • @torontobills Why are you posting this on EVERY video. . . . really NO ONE CARES. get a clue?

  • I cant believe the announcer made it seem like beating the bills was such an accomplishment, its actually expected that the bills would lose(no offense to bills fan, I'm somewhat of one myself). Now a days if you were to make a competition for nfl vs cfl then the nfl would own(not the bills...). Other than that peeps should probably just let the two leagues be, I mean Canadians like the CFL more(sort of) Americans definitely like the NFL more so I say peeps should stop making fun of each other.

  • @masterkung1231 You do realize that there is alot of americans that play in the cfl right ... nfl would lose .... There was going to be another head to head cfl vs nfl by canadian rules which it is 3 downs to get a first down not four and the nfl declined

  • @xRipzo when was this suppose to happen? I live in Hamilton and I am a huge CFL fan and have always wanted to see some friendly or exibition games between CFL and NFL teams. I dont see why it doesnt happen? It doesnt make any sense. When I was in highschool the had the CAN AM Bowl which was Canadian University ALL Stars vs US College ALL Stars (Division 1 schools NCAA believe it or not. They did it two years in a row in Tampa Florida and they played canadian rules. US won 21 - 7

  • @MrTommypops It's because of the nature of the game. If it was baseball for instance, nobody would mind but football is a game of injuries and it's so brutal that it has to be less than 20 games per season. A CFL-NFL game might be exciting but it also might be lopsided and cause significant injury. Teams aren't insured for such things so they won't do it.

  • @xRipzo You're crazy, the NFL would kill the CFL. Of course Americans play in the CFL, the worst Americans coming out of college or undrafted players go play for the CFL if they have no chance of playing in the NFL but still want some glory. The CFL doesn't come clsoe to NFL in terms of speed and the collisions that occur in game.CFL players get hurt by the most minor of hits, the leagues are worlds apart.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Do you actually watch CFL games? I'm an American and I prefer the CFL. It's more entertaining and the talent level is higher. Plus there are no whiny millionaires. As far as the worst Americans going to the CFL because they have no chance of playing NFL football. I guess Warren Moon wasn't all that great in the NFL, although he tore it up in the CFL. Doug Flutie? Both hacks according to your standards.

  • @hattrick1972 Lmao. Two things. One if you read my comments on other pages i say the same thing and admit that at one point in time the CFL was even with the NFL. Like back in those days. I've watched CFL games since I was a kid. My FATHER WAS THE TRAINER FOR THE BALTIMORE STALLIONS FOR THERE CHAMPIONSHIP year. But yeah my top comment doesn't show it but they were on almost even footing, not even close anymore.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Yeah, right now the CFL is light years ahead of the NFL at this point. That's a fact. You ever hear about a labour problem in the CFL like there was recently in the NFL? No? The CFL just offers a better quality game and it's more entertaining. They don't need no stinking 4 downs to make 10 yards. All they do is move the ball in 3 downs and have better quality athletes.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Actually you are wrong about the speed. Typically a CFL player is smaller but faster. The games require different skill sets. This is why when we have seem very talented players in the NFL come up here and do nothing. Ricky Williams comes to mind.

  • @jsmasterlubu3 And I bet you've never watched a CFL game in your life...

  • @jsmasterlubu3 Even though the NFL generally has better players, no one can deny the fact that great players have been groomed in the CFL... Warren Moon, Doug Flutie, Joe Theismann, Mike Vanderjagt, Cameron Wake, Mike Sellers just to name a few... The CFL isn't just full of shit players like most Americans seem to think...

  • @jsmasterlubu3 lmao..it would still be nice to see a game between teams of each league play eachother

  • @jsmasterlubu3 you must not know anything aboult cfl go to a halilton game and see we have better fans and a better and harder game

  • old ladies can beat the bills lol

  • What happend to NFL Europa? I even remember a few teams from madden, like the Amsterdam Admirals, Rhien Fire. Berlin Thunder, Coglone Centuroins, Hamburg Sea Devils, and the Frankfurt Galaxy. A few good players started there.

  • you Americans are funny. of course the NFL is superior. you guys have this attiude like "my dad can beat your dad"......grow up! i like both leagues but the CFL is much more entertaining to watch. and by the way the Hamilton Tiger Cats beat the Buffalo Bills 38- 22 on August 8 1961. it's a long time ago but CFL teams were able to compete with NFL teams in the fifties and sixties

  • @gcdcjccc This wasn't against the NFL. The Bills were part of the AFL and had no affiliation to the NFL at this time. Also, the AFL was only in its second year of existence. NFL was 6-0 vs the CFL. There was a time when the CFL and NFL competed for draft picks, etc. and were more evenly matched then they would be now.

  • nfl is better

  • does the cfl have drew brees? dont think so

  • @ICACARROT thats the stupidist question I have ever heard.......The US has 300,000,000 people.....we have 35,000,000.....of course the NFL is better and is a million times financially stronger than the CFL......we have our league and we love it. We dont go around saying the CFL is better. Theres no comparison. We have three downs and you have four. You have a 50 yard line and we have a 55. You have fair catch and we dont. We have lots of motion in the offensive backfield and you dont. Grow up

  • canada can like football, why cant europe? is it too hard for them?

  • @wowisuckatmath Canada is really the only other country that supports football and it is because socially we are more like American's. The NFL in the past and today does help the CFL with marketing and at one point even a loan. I am afraid though that with the Buffalo incursion into Toronto the CFL may be harmed. The CFL is the only other place for talented US college players to play. Any damage to the CFL is a major blow to football in general.

  • @they use the fair catch rule because of all the season ending injuries before that. know its used as strategy, fair catches happen not as often anymore especially wit all the fast returner in the nfl. NFL= more talent, better teams which means better games.

  • DO IT AGAIN I BET CFL WOULDNT STAND A CHANCE TO THE NFL GO NFL!!!!!!!!!

  • the best cfl players our all bought and put on teams hear anyways if we put our best players in the country against there best it would not come close

  • @Jcurvs99 NFL IS BETTER

  • Neither one is better or worse than the other.

  • @istefanx lets see you play in the cfl big shot

  • @deytookmahjob you guys lost in 1960 to the steelers the worst team at the time in the nfl 43-16 hahahaha

  • @istefanx well of course nfl has high caliber players they shouldnt lose at all but they did

  • @deytookmahjob ya in the 60s but they would not lose a game now a days to the cfl

  • @istefanx the Ccowboys and Redskins were actually worse than Pittsburgh, but i see what u mean. the NFL would prob crush a CFL team now-a-days... unless it were like the Rams than it would be interesting

  • @mrsnizz20XL the rams would still smash them the cfl is were undrafted nfl players go

  • @istefanx idk, Warren Moon, Doug Flutie, Jeff Garcia, Mike Vanderjagt and Cameron Wake came out of the CFL, they were/are pretty decent, and the Rams are just awful aside from Steven Jackson. then again that was some time ago so...

  • @istefanx the rams would get raped by any good cfl team. no chance against montreal. they would however smash the equally as bad blue bombers

  • @joethelantern that would never happen your cfl #1 draft pick was a undrafted player by the nfl

  • That means nothing. They draft the players they think will play in the CFL. They could go and draft Reggie Bush but he's obviously not going to play so why draft him? It's called common sense.

  • @scotty2scoops You're wrong buddy. Both games were developed from English rugby at the same time. The first college game in the United States was played in 1869 between Princeton and Rutgers five years before the Harvard McGill games. The US introduced three downs to make five yards and later 3 to make ten yards. The US also had the 110 yard field. The US introduced forward passing in 1906 more than 20 years before it was allowed in Canada.

  • Toronto Argonauts. FTW

  • @Love4SK Toronto Argonauts FTL

  • @scotty2scoops actually soccer is the earliest form of football and its was played over 2000 years ago by the chinese.

  • @scotty2scoops Actually studies show that Ancient Romans had invented it by throwing randoms objects at each other and running.

  • Snice it lose was an embrarassment, no AFL or NFL team ever challeged the CFL again. CFL lost aot of battlesa but wins the war :)

  • @KangaKucha The NFL had no affiliaion to the AFL or Buffalo Bills at this time (NFL/AFL merger was several years away). Not sure what your logic is here? If each NFL/CFL game is a battle, the NFL was 6-0 vs. CFL teams. Seems like an NFL victory to me. Versus the AFL, CFL is 1-0. NFL played a CFL team three days before this and won 34-16.

  • @techworker05 and yet snice that one CFL victory, the NFL and AFL never played the CFL again, imho thats winning the war because your enemies is in full retreat.

  • @KangaKucha I respect your opinion. From my perspective, the NFL was 6-0 vs. the CFL and had no affiliation with the AFL at that time (completely separate leagues... as separate as the NFL was from the CFL). I agree that the CFL won the war vs. the AFL though. The AFL opted not to play the CFL again as they felt losing reflected poorly on their struggling league.

  • americans will argue, rightfully so, that the bills were too new to beat a powerhoise team like hamilton, and they have a point.

However, the canadians have a point that all the CFL loses agaist NFL teams dont mean a thing because all of them were agaist weak east division teams like Toronto and Ottawa, none agaist hamilton or the west teams. why? cuz they knew they would hav a fight they might lose, and in the case of hamilton, did.

  • @KangaKucha First two games, NYG played Ottawa, Ottawa was weak in '50 but won the Grey Cup in '51. The Giants of that time were a good team as well. The NFL teams of the '59, '60, and '61 games were weak yet still won. The Toronto teams were a mix of good/bad teams. Hamilton (the team here that beat the Bills) nearly won the Grey Cup. None of the NFL teams that competed here were championship teams. If the NFL was really concerned, they could have sent GB or Balt, for example.

  • @techworker05 have to check on that Ottawa one, but still, i think the western teams would have been better agaist the NFL teams, not nessarly winners but might have made them games closer.

  • @KangaKucha Yes, that would have been interesting to see. Too bad the champions from the NFL/CFL never squared off... Would have been fun to watch.

  • nfl is ONLY famous in america nowhere else.!!!!! nowhere!!

  • @A08SPORTS have you actually asked any people from any other countries if they like nfl football? the nfl wouldn't played any preseason games in mexico city or tokyo or regular season games in london if tickets didn't sale.

  • Who one the score is 2-2 *counting the tea bowl

    *

  • What rules do they use? 4 downs or 3 downs? Big or smaller field?

  • 3 downs in Canadian football. 12 players per side. Field is quite a lot bigger than in USA... wider, longer, deeper endzones. No fair catches or touchbacks. Unlimited backfield motion. Tends to have more passing, higher scoring games.

  • thats stupid it should just be like nfl football rules... besides the fair catches cuz i would like to see some ppl get jacked up and 11 players should be per side and they have 4 downs in the cfl.

  • nfl is stupid 40 seconds to run down the clock is way to much teams can run off like the entire 2 minute warning without a first down but in cfl they can get like 30 seconds and 3 downs makes much more passing which is way more exciting then running the bigger field allows for more open play like every cfl rule beets the nfl version

  • and then again it is my opion...

  • Wow i would like too see a competition now

  • Me too, sure the NFL is a lot better that would be fun to watch.
