maybe a lil improvment for patch 1.0.0 with these endermens... make the roof og the cells 2 blocks high so endermens cant spawn on the cells. dunno if they can spawn on the pressureplates between water

My way of knowing that I am 100% safe from any mob. Torch-spam your "caverns", and you are safe. Though Endermen teleporting into your farms from the Ender-grinder is a pain.

Not as big or effective as yours--I put it on ground level on one side of a vertical shaft I'm working on) but it works! And I made a fishing spot with sand and water (and a little dock) on the roof, as per your "visual appeal" guideline.:)

the only problem i had with this is that the monsters survival the fall too often (even though the drop was 32 and the water was very shallow) and the monsters won't go across the pressure plates intended for preventing backflow

I love all the ideas and designs you have for these thing, I would really love to continue seeing things like this, they have a very good conceptual use for collecting items that are normally hard to get, and with there being the "food meter" using something like this on animals would make it easy to get food. Oh yes and btw The pool on top looks very serene. Tip: don't kill the squids. To me they add to the serenity. And they wont hurt. They dont bite (i think). I wish we could tame more than just wolves on Minecraft. When i get the game I want to make a squid farm :D THE SQUIDS ARE SO CUTE!!

Just for a fact... Monsters don't spawn on half blocks... You could just make your roof out oh them but I suggest still using water for the mountain :D

@Bandabydoo If you have enough resources, and time. Water will eventually create infinite pools, much faster and with only two buckets you can fill the top.

Hey Muse, Replace the pool of water on top with glass. Monsters don't spawn on glass and you also prevent squid from spawning, which increases the efficiency of the trap.

-Slimes will only spawn on certain chunks, you can use this tool to find out. mcslimes(dot)appspot(dot)com/i­ndex.jsp

-There is an average of 10% of chunks spawning slimes

-Slimes will only spawn where y</=16

-Slimes do not grow over time

-Larger slimes will split into 4 smaller slimes that are each one size smaller, if and only if the killing blow causes no overkill damage

What equipment do you use for your videos?

@oceanrm It's changing all the time. I started with Camtasia Studio and Camtasia Recorder, but since then I've upgraded to Fraps and Sony Vegas, but I'm going to try out Pinnacle soon. I use Audacity to remove background noise on my audio tracks, and ACID to record my songs. My mic is the cheapest mic I could find online (CAD U1 for $25). It sucks, but I just use audacity to remove most of the clicks. My computer is a frankensteined (Home-built) relic from the stone age, so I'm upgrading soon.
