I love it personally. I find it to be a good in-between MMO to your standard WoW and traditional eastern MMO. As far as your comments about the grind. So far its just like any other new MMO with there being almost enough quests to eek out the grinding completely, but not quite. So at current there is a bit of a grind every once in a while, but it goes much smoother than your standard easter MMO since Aion was built to cater to the western gamer despite being an eastern developed MMO.
Those wings look different from the ones I normally see in Aion videos..

Aslong as the skills/enviroments are good enough, grinding now and then isn't bad.

At level 10, you have access to your own set of wings to where you can fly like a bird. =)
