  • That first plane sounds a bit like a Class 52 "Western", another great video mate. By the way, would you know if any Russian built planes like the Tupolev fly into the UK? Also is there any gen on when the Antonov 224 will be in the UK next? As that is a massive beast I would like to film.

  • @EWS60008 I dont know of any thing about the Antonov, and about the russian aircraft, "Cubana" send an Ilyushin to Gatwick every other day from Havana.

  • I live on the luton fligth path and i probably saw these

  • great airport, great wind, great landings i have there everytime i go to see my girlfriend in Luton from Milan

  • @061tclos But a B777 would NO way be able to take off with full payload! A B747 cant even fly from Birmingham full of passengers and fuel! Luton has an extremely short runway and it would be miles to small for a fully loaded 777 to take off!

  • @rachaelmatt got a fair point there, they would have to leave half a payload like have a 767 weight on a 777 lol

  • Nice vid, brilliant filming! i've bashed an easyJet A319 several times to Geneva and back, liked and faved :)

  • Nice!

  • Apparently, theyre replacing the 767 with a 777 in the near future! Super vid. Some greats shots! =-D

  • @rorymacve Not from Luton they wont be, a 777 cant take off from Luton the runway is too small for a 777 with full payload to take off.

  • It was in my latest Airports of the World Magazine. Since the flight from Israel to Luton is such a popular one, there are proposals for the service to be run by a Boeing 777

  • @rorymacve That would be something to see, but the runway would need extending before. Check out my new chiltern videos!

  • @rachaelmatt So if they extend the runway what new planes and maybe airlines will start to arrive? and might they Thomson run a Luton to Sanford route?

  • @iliveonjupiter I've not heard anything about the runway being extended at Luton. But if they did, then possibly yes, new thomson longhaul routes. I must say with the runway being the size it is now, im quite suprised that continental airlines dont operate a route with a 757 to/from Newark. Like they do to most other airports around the UK.

  • @rachaelmatt I've seens a video of a Monarch A330 taking off at Luton

  • @iliveonjupiter Yes totally empty! A 747 has been to Luton before, but it cant take off full of fuel! So nothing would come of heavies at luton. A330's cant take off or land full.

  • Nice video mate, i liked :)
