this mod is total kickass! my favourite bor mod. thanks to whoever created it. the only thing missing are usable weapons and a bit more difficulty. i added the arcade intros to dd1 (marian's abduction) and dd2 (marian's death) as text type sprites to this mod and apart from a sound glitch i cant get rid of yet, they work, with the rising garage doors and everything! now for weapons ...

This is great. Thanks for the link. It works fine on an XP tower I use. I haven't been able to get it to work on my Vista Laptop though. I'm getting the same error that others have gotten. My Vista laptop is saying: Failed to switch to Mode-x 320x240x8! <file",line#:0 . I downloaded the Direct X 10. It didn't help. Any advice from anyone who knows what I need to do would be appreciated.

It had nothing to do with DirectX, it's the OpenBOR exe file. All I did was get a different version and voila, FIXED.

When I playing double dragon extreme, I am using the keyboard to fight and I am getting a message called stickkey and then I select cancel and ok, then I am able to use the button, because it doesn't work. When I select setting button, what do I select or what check button do I select. Help me out and the game runs good on small screen and the music run good too. That the problem I have right now. Thanks for the vid. I can see the maker of this game had done too many efforts on this mod, but however, "Beats of Rage" is a terrible engine, which isn't good for Double Dragon game. I hope the maker can remake "Extreme" by using "Double Dragon Forever" engine.

I was so excited when I saw this on but after downloading it I was very disappointed. It plays great but the biggest problem is with the Williams bad guy. He does nothing but constant flying kicks (WAY more than in any other version of the game!) so wearing him down is slow plus it is frustrating as well. The collision detection leaves a lot to be desired also. The enemy can be tearing into you but your punches just go right through them. If these problems are fixed then it's a definate winner!

I enjoyed Beats of Rage and I appreciate the modability, but I'm really sick of the fact that every single one of these mods seems to have the exact same gameplay. I'm sorry, but just slapping some new sprites ripped from some much better games into Beats of Rage (itself a stripped down version of Streets of Rage 2/3 gameplay) just isn't doing it for me anymore. No offense intended. It looks cool, but loses the DD feel.

The arranged music is actually from the Double Dragon II music album composed by the 0' Bits Project that came out in Japan after the release of the Famicom version. The same composers also did soundtracks based on Kunio's Soccer (Nintendo World Cup), Ninja Gaiden II and V'Ball. The Mysterious Warrior's sprite is simply recycle from one of the Five Emperors in DD Advance, while the Ninja is just a cleverly redrawn Williams from DD2.

This game isn't hard at all once you know the infinite combo of doom, that also works on bosses, nullifying their challenge. You just gotta watch out every once in a while if the characters actually decide to jump you. I just beat the arcade double dragon 1 on this with using only 2 credits. At least they don't screw you over with 1 life like in double dragon 3.

Anyway the infinite combo of doom is that you hit them repeatedly with the same punch but waiting about a second so it doesn't combo. I got bored of it since their health is too long if I don't abuse this move. Thanks again for the link and video though.
