revo's are easy to get off the ground... but very hard to bring it back down. the 3.3 makes it hard to jump because every move you make with the throttle it pushes the front up vise versa

@2glittergirls21 ya their pretty good...but they get real old if your more in to jumping/bashing and also the diff case is were the brake pads screw into and that keeps stripping...so just be aware of other options and make sure you get the right rc for you

Firestorm is a truggy,it's engineered for track racing and fast, low lumping. A Revo, which is a monster truck, should be FAR more durable than a Firestorm. The fact that you're comparing a truggy to a monster truck shows what the Revo is made of; flimsy plastic and cheap aluminum. You could run a Savage up and down that hill like for months for anything went wrong, and then it would just have worn out, not broken.

Sweet video. Land rc's is what i mostly own but im looking into getting into planes. That revo sits really high! Im guessing he has the LT rockers on it? Yea, i would avoid exceed, what happens if you break an a-arm? You have to wait 2 weeks. Stick to losi, traxxas, hpi, ae and the bigger brands. My revo has too much money into it. I have a whole bunch of mods including a picco .26, badlands on rulux's, futaba 3pm 2.4, just to name a few. If you want check it out i would appreciate it :)

Good points with the trucks. The waiting 2 weeks for a part is if they have it in stock. The wait could be longer. Thats why I buy name brand so I can go to the local hobby shop and get any part I want or hav e it in a few days.

The only problem with buying a less expensive nitro truck like the exceed brand is that you will have a hard time getting replacement parts. Well known brands like HPI, Losi, and Traxxas are sold by dozens of dealers online and parts are easily found. Something to think about.

The old saying "You get what you pay for" really applies here. You can find cheap 4x4 monster trucks and if the price sounds too good to be true, then it usually is.

You will either buy an inexpensive monster truck and then lots of money in upgrade parts and still not be satisfied, or you can save your money and buy the high quality one from the start.

The firestorm is a basic 2wd nitro truck therefore it costs less. I believe the rustler has an electric start, not sure if it is 2 or 4wd but costs more. It depends on how much money you want to spend.

the firestorm and rustler are not the two best rc cars to be comparing

first of all the firestorm is gas rustler isnt

comparing gas with electric is difficult

second of all they are different sizes and shape

also the rustler is only 2wd and you are wrong about the costs, the rustler is around $150.00

the firestorm is $250.00

so if you or jlsracer8 is thinking between the two, think about it a lot because they are two very different truggys

No, you are mistaken Laxbomb124. Horizon hobby sells a nitro rustler for $310 which is exactly what I said. They also sell an electric version for $170 and I was not referring to that one. The nitro rustler does come with an EZ start electric starting system and it is 2wd, Thats the only thing I wasnt sure of, but just verified it on Horizon Hobby a minute ago.

So,ask next time before jumping to conclusions. Thanks and have a nice day.

I sure *hope* the next vid is as good as this one ! - LOL BTW, the Firestrom vid at the beach was awesome too ! I read in my R/C Car Action magazine that when you run your R/Ccar/truck at the beach, you should 'duck tape' the whole underside of the chassis so that you help prevent a lot of sand from getting all up on the inside of your car/truck......not to mention all over the fly-wheel. Especially run an air filter cover like you said you did ! - lol

yeah i have fixed my firestorm it only had a quarter of a gasket and it does not leak any more and if your battery box is broke and scratched every time you go out put silver tape under it

im lookin at a buggy that will cost around 300+ dollars but nothing over 500-- ive looked at a few --both duratrax models and 6 or 7 of the ofna buggies -- im also looking at the robitronics protos and the hpi mt2--yah im looking at alot but im still not counting out the 2wd models -- wat do you think of the firestorm and the rc10 gt2 rs oh and last but not least the rustler--so as you can see im looking at everything for a starter nitro, oh yah im also looking thingsl like revo,t-maxx,ect.

It is expelling spent fuel out of the exhaust. That is normal as all nitro engines do that. You can purchase an exhaust tube to try and keep it off the body. Thanks for watching Baseballcacher.
