  • "And here's what the brush looks like" lol, oh, ok.

  • one word: beautiful;D

  • Amazing! You are extremely educated in this field!!

    LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • bonjour

merci pour la vidéo elle est très intéressante

  • Hello....Thanks...the paper is card stock. I think I varnished it first. I'm pretty sure your video is on it's way. I can't check right now. My husband is in the Hospice Care Center. This is a very difficult time...I'll check my orders when I get home. I'm staying with him. I hope you understand. Marjorie

  • @MarjorieHarris Although I just signed in to your video, I just read the above statement, and I am very sorry to hear you are going through this difficult time...my heart hurts for you because I know all too well what hospice is and the difficult decisions that lay ahead. Again, I may not know you but you have my prayers tonight and I hope that you are doing okay. I hope you can put your faith in the good Lord, as he does indeed hear all his children's prayers...God Bless...Laura.

  • @docella01030 ...Hello. Thank you....I'm alone with John...it's l a.m. and we just had some difficulties...he's comfortable again...more morphine. He has been battling cancer since 2009.....I'll stay here with him as long as he is here. So strange...trying to just

keep him comfortable and asleep. Quiet now....thank you again...my heart is breaking tonight....I'm talking to the computer.....

  • @MarjorieHarris I'm praying for you and John. I hope all goes well for you <3

  • what kind of paper are you using and does it matter? I went and bought a pack of Artist's Loft brand drawing paper. I hope that is ok. I could not find Burgundy so I got one called Napthol Crimson and Titanium White and Baby Pink. I am still waiting for your video to come in the mail and I'll be set.(hopefully)

  • Marjorie, I love watching your videos. What a very nice presentation you give. I am so excited about getting started and I want to get your video and brushes as soon as possible. Are the three colors you are using available? I looked up FolkArt paints and I didn't see a baby pink or burgundy. Do these paints clean up easy with just water? So many questions. Please keep up the good work.

  • You are very, very talented!

  • @thequeenundisputed Hello! Thank you for your comments. Folk Art has changed colors since I made this video.....but any dark rich burgundy red color would work and any warm peachy pink would work. These do clean up well with water. Feel free to ask any questions you like....I'm always here...lol.....regards, Marjorie

  • @MarjorieHarris Thank you! I'll keep that in mind if I ever have a question. :D

  • Your spirit makes my heart smile and the peaceful and complete style in which you teach by demonstration inspires and encourages. Thankyou and many blessings always. appreciate you so much. • After watching ur tuto video I went...: ohhh now I get it!!!." Thank you ....

  • Vraiment bien tres reposant et éducatif Merci pour tous

  • Thank you for being so kind to teach. Can you now teach how to paint hydrangea?

  • The lady seems to be very talented

  • could u explain it better ?? I mean first u used lassical paint and second time acrylic paint ?

  • @leetchi Hello, Thanks for your comment on my video. All of the paint is

    Folk Art Bottled Acrylic.

  • woww! the technique is quite simple, but the result is amazing!!

thanks so much for sharing this! :)

  • Is it necessary to use an angular shader to do that or you can succeed it by using a normal shader too? :)

  • @moonshinetears . Hello, thinks for your comment. An angular shader is a huge help with this method. The strokes are made by putting pressure on the brush to make it flare out (like rose petals). I don't twist the brush to make the strokes, I press down on the brush and make the point flare out. You could use a regular shader but the petals will be formed differently, without the longer bristles to flare out. Hope this helps.

  • @MarjorieHarris It helps a lot, thank you for the quick answer!

i'm from germany and i'm 14 years old i love painting a lot and than i saw this very cool technology to paint flowers

i have a queastion what colours are that and wher can i get them?

  • @kayP63 Hello there! The colors are Folk Art Acrylic Paints. Just do an on line search and you will find it.

The paint comes in small bottle. You could also use water color, just make it kind of thick. Good luck with your painting and thanks for taking the time to write...I'm happy to answer questions. Marjorie

  • @MarjorieHarris thanks for the answer i look a lot videos about this and often i understout nothing beaucouse ist was in athor languaches and you explain it really good you make graed viedeos

  • @Dredworld. Hello, thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. Hope your roses grow!

  • I wrote a lot but this commentary size not allowing to place it. In short, Marjorie, yes, do try to come over, apart fr visa bureaucracy there shouldn't be other troubles. Victory day in May is good festive city looks, then 24-25 June school graduation Scarlet Sails night show over bridges you can look this in youtube.(a ship with silk scarlet sails comes down town). Any other time you can draw Peterhof palace and park fountains:o))), cometo think of it. Also pretty.

  • A dacha is a summer house, Marjorie. The word is from the verb to give/dat'

Tsar Peter I was giving FOC land plots around his new capital he built, St. Petersburg, to allure muscovites to re-locate from the old capital, Moscow. And nobody wanted to go o)) because Moscow is dry continental, on the hills, and we are a windy swamp :o), low shore of the Gulf of Finland. So the word stuck, for the country wooden log houses, around the city. Like, water is from a well, but there is electricity.

  • Thank you very much, I will try. This is going to be an adventure :o)))) because I can't draw at all, and I just painted new and old table in the dacha, and am going to draw a tiny rose in the corner some place on it, just, in commermoration ofrestoring theold table:o) And asthese are oilpaints I willhave only one attempt :o)))

    Regards from St. Petersburg, Russia.

  • @Alice27251 Hello Alice, How exciting to get correspondence from St. Petersburg, Russia. I wish I could visit there! Good luck painting roses. Paint big ones! I'm wondering....what is a "dacha"? Regards, Marjorie

  • you are so cool thank you!!!!!

  • this is beautiful i love your voice.. can i use the folk art paints to pain in walls? i really want to try this.. thanks

  • @MegaDamarys Hi.......I use Folk Art on Walls. If the paint is matte, or flat finish I just use the paint and let it sink in a bit...lovely! If the paint on the wall is shiney....I add a bit of Folk Art Satin Paint to my paint while painting..and that makes it match the wall finish a bit.... thanks for your compliments. Marjorie

  • Marjorie: I am watching your videos and I am learning too much. My flowers very day it becomes better. Thanks. I hope that you put more videos with other designs. Thanks. Maria from Colombia.

  • The instructions are much clearer than Donna Dewberry's. Your final result is more detailed and have that "Victorian" look which is imo much nicer. Not that "commercial one stroke" method everyone is doing. You showed the necessary supplies needed and didn't shamelessly promote other products like she did. Thank you. <3

  • wow! I never knew that painting roses is so easy like that, only make a curve line. amazing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge

  • The instructions are much clearer than Donna Dewberry's. You showed the necessary supplies needed and didn't shamelessly promote other products like she did. Thank you. <3
