If you watch most of tokido matches he never mash dp including this one, sakura links are extremely hard to do even uryo messes up sometimes, so tokido was just capitalizing on hoping that uryo would drop a combo. Its a good way to get out of strings of atk and tokido never does it without 2 bars just in case it was a bait. Mashing is when you go crazy with the dp, tokido was just trying to get an attack in dropped combos.

@ultimafax this is akuma's theme playing here because he is the second player. You can change the music to arranged in the option menu and then the second players character's theme will play on any stage, however, it does not work on one player, it must be two players.

I love the way Uryo plays, he's always trying to get in there and I can respect that a lot, especially from a Sakura. Tokido is great too, of course.

i can't believe akuma didn't try to DP after he survived that ultra in round 3 (or even reversal teleport)... he had super to cancel if sakura blocked. Instead he ate an overhead (which was mad ballzy from sakura ....)

Nice match and nice combo fadc with sakura but I'm a lil dissappointed in akuma he coulda won the last match (possibly) if he woulda did the raging demon on the wakeup but kudos to both players

Well ur entitled to ur opinion and clearly ur not a top notch player for calling ANY game mechanic a "scrub" type move ANY real gamer knows to NEVER underestimate any advantage they can gain over an opponent and the wake up is a perfect setup for it simply because it has (granted high skill level) hit rate if done properly (like I clearly do which is why my BP is higher than urs I'm sure good day sir

wake up is def not safe, how many top players do you see who wake up ultra? idc if your bp are higher, that just means you play online more. if you have to use your bp points online to determine your skill level, then you surely are not a top player.

@RajmanGamingHD Tokido mashes at 0:50, at 1:47, and at 3:02. And that's only counting DP mashing. That's not even counting where he's mashing at corner demon flips and mashing out throw techs.

DP's and reversals are OP in this game. Ridiculous Super Mash Fighter 4.

@glaive616 I totally get why you think its mashing but its not mashing, only attempts to do moves through dropped combos which is fine. Sometimes it can be far more useful to do moves through a dropped link, than to just crouch and weather the storm unless the person tries to bait you and drop a combo purposely. Mashing is where you go crazy and start thrashing buttons, when you see mashing it will stick out like a sore thumb in the output.

@Rooney8MUFC in this case instead of option select tech throw its option select counter shoryu mashing generally requires more then one button and a very specific motion input to count as mashing.

@glaive616 That mashing is no problem. Because tokido has two meter for fadc if th upper cut be guarded, he can fadc to escape. You doesnt do it because you don't know why do it and when do it.

Unfortunately, even professionals mash; it's just too effective not to do it in this game.

The damage potential is not as big as the potential of damage you can take if baited, but the problem is that reversal srk beats out basically everything but blocking, so statistically you will benefit from it anyway.
