  • 150 times and still gives me goosebumps !! hail the legend \m/

  • I come back to this video all the time. truly incredible

  • One blanket, 7 people, 10 strips, 75,000 of my friends all around me, and Pearl Fucking Jam onstage.Best night of my LIFE.

  • ProShot at 240p ????? WTF????

  • I was gonna go to this and didn't at the last minute. CRAP!!!!

  • @Juberoos NO!! it is you who is crap.. Tell me where your next stadium gig is!

  • @fatriff well that reply was completely out of line...I said "crap" as in "crap I missed it"!!! WOW dude...get a life.

  • @Juberoos Sorry man, I completely miss-understood the context. I read it and thought you said Crap because you thought the video was crap so your glad you didn't waste your time going.. Again, Sorry man.

  • first time i ever did acid was at this show lol

  • one of the few videos where I'm happy to see Matt Cameron as their drummer. I still miss Dave Abbruzzsese, but Cameron did a great job here.

  • 1:22 to about 1:45. It's a must.

  • absolutely fucking amazing performance.

  • i LOVE this version! no sorry, it's not expressive enough!! I LOOOOOOOOOVE that version! and the band! and the song! did i say the band again?

  • Weird man everyone seems to love this concert. But I was there, and Eddie was drunk as fuck, making terrible drunken speeches about the war. I was literally probably 50 feet from the stage, and I had to get the fuck out of there. Eddie seemed terrified. Can't blame him. And I'm not judging him, I don't know what he was going through, but man, I couldn't listen to PJ for about 6 months after that.

  • @Reverend0Locrian well ur a dick then arent you:)

  • Was there. Beautiful night of music. Perfect weather, Jack first playing until sunset, then pearl jam. Lots of memories that weekend. MMJ epic.

  • This part of the show was fantastic but anyone who was there remembers the opening song when everyone was throwing glow sticks in the air. I was in the pit and stood on the railing and just stared at 100,000 people lighting up the Tennessee sky. There is a lot from bonnaroo i can't remember but that's something i'll never forget

  • @bdiddy32

much agreed! bonnaroo really is a different world, and i cant remember much of my experiences there, but i'll never forget THIS song, and PJ's performance.. the only night i was truly sober in every sense

  • @bdiddy32 So true man, I'll never forget the lighters during "Black"... it looked like a sea of fire

  • i cant say i have ever had a better moment in my whole life... i will always rember this night for as long as i live thanks to eddie vedder and the rest of pearl jam... thanks!!!

  • Espero que pronto llegue a Perú para ir a su concierto, los estare esperando

  • awesome

i was probably 30 rows back...... but got to see them from a VIP entrance later in the set. best show of the festival for sure

  • what...what is this? no autotune? no backup soundtrack? Is this what they call...real music. :P

  • I was there...greatest concert I've ever seen! And the final head count for just this night was an estimated 175,000 people!!!I was in the raised handicapped only seating. Could see all the way to the road in town. Cars were pulled over and police lights could be seen on the road. The whole town of Manchester, TN came to a halt when Pearl Jam played that night. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything!!!!

  • he's totally the love of my life lol

can't ever find a better man

  • I was there....Incredible show! probably around 80,000 people there it was epic..

  • that has to be THE greatest feeling being up there with that many loving your music

  • I love when the crowd sings! best thing ever especially when theyre in other countries and the only english they know is probably that song but they still sing it...no woman no cry version of this song in netherlands IS AMAZING, i wish i could of gone to this only if, only if

  • completely beautiful

  • 0:46 , simply amazing .

  • I was there! And I LOVE when the crowd sings along! And I have never heard of ANY songwriter disliking it! What a beautiful expression of how much your song has touched people lives than the fact that they can sing your entire song, verbatim and on cue and in pitch. I personally would be honored as a songwriter and singer! Isn't that the point of writing music?!? To hit at the heart of someones soul?

  • @hlocicero i agree with both, but i hate when someone on my side scream the song and i can´t hear the singer!

  • Stunning-wish I'd been there

  • bonnaroo.... i miss you... i miss you so much... everyday of my life.... you are really something special.... this was a great night.... ill never forget...

  • If it isn't bothering him then why is it bothering you?

  • Because it's his song. When I go to concerts, I go to hear the band, not the crowd.

  • If he had a problem with it he wouldn't stop singing so that the crowd could take over.....instead of bitching about it just listen to their cd's and don't go to concerts. I'm sure you're one of those douchebags who stands there with your arms crossed standing like you aren't having any fun.

  • uggghhhh...they r so hotttttt!!!!

  • I was there... 2:30 into this video is where the shrooms kicked in, now I hear his voice and I feel light headed, no joke... when pearl jam comes on the radio i have to pull over, BONNAROOOOOO!!!

  • Define Intimacy (see: this video).

  • Thanks for this footage!

    Love and Peace!

  • They need to getPearl Jam and The Who to headline. That'd be sick

  • Rush will be a headliner at Bonnaroo in '10

  • get the fuck out of here! rush at the roo? I have to go now.

  • eddie is always the same

  • man what a song the best rock band in the world no comparasing even nirvana this son much better i hop they come to PERU sometime

  • i live in the small town that hosts bonnaroo every year!

it funny watching the hippies in there vans come here

  • slompappy, i couldn't agree with you more. I'm from Ontario and my friends and I skipped outta school just before exams to check out Bon'. glad I did, best experience ever... ok maybe line getting in coulda been shorter

  • it fuckin buityfull man

  • I waited 3 hours to get 3rd row in the pit for PJ (my favorite band, obviously). This was insane when everyone sang, it was so amazing. Pearl Jam played an absolutely brilliant performance at Bonnaroo, they really know how to play to that large of a crowd

  • i wiated 12 hours for front row at iron maiden at sziget festival

  • I have to say i completely agree with you Slompappy.. I wasn't much of a PJ fan before this concert, the only reason i was there was to see Metallica... which is somewhat ironic because we came from Seattle (Bellevue).. But after this performance and this song in particular i found a new appreciation for PJ, it really was something that words just can't describe!! ... unfortunately you just had to be there!

  • eddie vedder is god and bonnaroo is heaven. end of story.

  • I've seen prob close to 1500 live performances of all kinds of music over the last 25 years or so.this night was right up there with the best live music experiences of my life

  • @slompappy Yeah I had eaten a bunch of mushrooms right before they went on. Something I haven't done in a very long time. Needless to say it rocked!

  • @slompappy for sure. i was in middle school when vitalogy came out... i had been pretty ho-hum about pearl jam.... but i can't even begin to describe how incredible this show was!

  • @slompappy

    thats freaking awesome dude

  • @slompappy AMEN!!

  • @slompappy Best show I have ever seen. Period. And I've seen many, many, many shows (RHCP, Metallica, STP, Porcupine Tree, etc). I have never felt like a concert was my home, but at this show, I was at home

  • @slompappy i was there too what a magical musical night when i find my happy place its this exact night

  • he always does

  • what happened after the first chorus that he stopped for?

  • Waited 4 hours to get into the pit; best use of time ever

  • they cut out a chunk of this

  • one of my favourite pearl jam music. i want to find my better man =)

  • im a local at bonnaroo gotta love manchester

  • effing amazing, i don't recall big chunks of those 5 days (fellow Bonnarooers know why :),

but these few minutes i will never forget.

  • chills thru out my body right now listening to this and remembering that night getting hit with warm waves of sarah tonin and me and my gf cuddling way out in that sea of people singing this... *tear*

i will never forget the great mindblowing experiences bonnaroo has been so kind to have given me thru out the years

  • Do caralho!!

  • you hear one of those voices, that was fuckin me

  • lol me too!!! Boonnnarooooooooo!

  • Perfect!

    Thanks the sound is perfect!

    I adore !

  • BONNNAAAROOOOO!!!!

  • this show, followed by sigur ros, followed by ghostland observatory made up my first molly experience ever...and WOW! Definitely the best night I've had at bonnaroo in the 3 years I've been there.

Amazing experience with three awesome bands, will always be one of my favorite memories.

  • Haha you had some mollys that night?

I heard about a lot of good shit..

I actually had some really potent acid that night.

Took about 4 hits about an hour before sigur ros played.

    Simply fucking amazing

  • That was the start of my molly fun for the night, followed by sigur ros! absolutely beautiful.

  • pearl jam are as good now as theyve ever been.

  • Was anything else from this show pro-shot?

  • lol the best music pearl jam roking lol XD

  • Yeah man that was a badass show.. i live in Manchester, Tennessee so i mean i get to go every year and cant wait to go next year!!

  • Pearl Jam bonnaroo 09 and every year to come

  • i was at this concert stone cold sober (not by choice) and this is one of the defining moments of my life. looking around and seeing the lighters man...... greatest thing ive ever seen

  • I was there too, goosebumps just thinking about it

  • yeah i was not a pearl jam fan before only because i never took the time to listen to them, and after seeing this show... IT BLEW MY MIND. im a huge pearl jam fan now. and im so happy. i love it. i miss bonnaroo so much it hurts inside

  • love that story. welcome to the light, my friend.

  • oh man, bonnaroo 09 cannot come soon enough

  • amen

  • testify

  • no kidding...that was my first bonnaroo...can't wait for 09! Rumor has it...CHILI PEPPERS!

  • that'd be nice, but I dobut it. Flea's enrolled at USC taking music classes, he says theres no telling when they're coming back

  • that would be incrediballly great. i would guss that the chilis will do at least SOMETHING in 09.

them and the strokes. 09 will be the shit.

  • it could be like 1997, which they refer to as their "Year of Nothing"

  • as long as i someday get to see the chilis im fine.

  • definitely

  • u a chilis fan?

  • very much so haha

  • I have always loved pearl jam, but seeing them at bonnaroo took my love for them to another level.

  • As someone who came in not being the biggest Pearl Jam fan, this concert completely changed my mind about them, and what they do. UNREAL show.

  • They edited out Save It For Later. :)

  • What a day !

  • best moment in a concert in all of my life. The amount of lighters were amazing and the crowd sung every word!

  • Maravilloso

  • I was there, singing along with the crowd, lighter in air...and tears! This was incredible, as was Black! Miss it :(

  • I got misty too! I keep thinking to myself that this was one of the best moments of my life.

  • I'm with you paroxysm... I just got misty watching it now--this was the best moment of the best four days of my life.

  • Jesus Christ that is Jamming Out right there.

  • This was the most magical moment of the festival for me, hands down.
