  • I've been feeding eight raccoons at my house for three years. They have always been polite guests, never hurt a thing.

  • I have seen first hand raccoons tear apart domesticated animals when they feel trapped for whatever reason. Unless you can read the raccoon's mind, you are playing with fire.

  • so cute the way the racoon is looking at you while eats like looking for approval :)

  • omg you're crazy! I'd be crapping my pants. I can't believe the raccoon acts surprised at the end like he just noticed you were filming him. But if this isn't a domesticated raccoon I hope you didn't do it again, it could become problematic.

  • I like how it keeps looking at the person or the cat in between bites of food.. keeping an eye on them. I don't know if I'd be able to resist letting a raccoon in and feeding it. I can't bring myself to hate them, even though one killed my dog (small old bichon) a few months ago. The back door was open for some reason, no one was home for a period of only 15 minutes. Most cats are probably smart enough to leave them alone, though.

  • 0:36 "ey camera dude! Got somethin to eat??"

  • I just saw a wild raccoon my back door step eating out of my garbage and my cat was sitting right beside it and when i scared the raccoon away my cat ran away with it. my cat is a fixed male and is scared of everything (even going outside in the day) but it seemed like they were friends! i'm not lying i swear to god. maybe the coon doesn't see my cat as a threat? i don't know.

  • For the last few days, I have had a racoon come into my screened in porch, two different ways....found small holes in the screen and went through them. Trying to open the door now, but it is locked. The racoon and my cat sniff each other and play and the racoon was eating the cat food....it just looks at me and cocks its head when I try to get it to leave

  • I would wup the coon's coon behind if i wer the cat or even the homeowner

  • the cat & the racoon must be friends ..lol or have a little deal going on for food..

  • Raccoon: Nice place....

  • i think i now might reconsider ever installing a pet door like that who knows what can come in raccoons skunks even very small sized evil minded humans

  • @bernard240vdc Makes sense.

  • exactly wait til the skunk comes in for some cat food......that will be the end of the cat door LOL

  • LoL...it seems like it tries to say "can i get some more?"at 2:13 with the body language

  • lol that cats like what is he doing in my house haha :P

  • Oh, wow Raccons are only cute in cartoons or little like a hamspter.

  • a wonderful way to bring the wild into your home! LOL

  • 2:07 lol

  • raccoons my fav animal

  • same, racoons kick ASS!

  • this is my friends aunt i know her

  • Interesting that the catdoor was NO MYSTERY at all--and he knew exactly how to get back out again.

I'm tempted to think that he may have used on before ;)

  • You may end up very sorry letting the raccoon in like this and feeding it. This is a wild animal with unpredictable behavior that also carries rabies.

I have seen firsthand the damage that raccoons do to the insides of houses. Because you have let this raccoon know there is free food in your house, one day he may be back with several friends and break in when you aren't home. They don't stop at just eating cat food when given free run in a house; they tear EVERYTHING up.

    Lock the cat door.

  • I have to completely agree with you. Not all raccoons are docile. I have a kitten recovering from a raccoon attack. The kitten lost an eye.

  • did u get that racist side of you as a result of your daddy's short comings and thus, yours?

  • @Neil6000 I agree! This irresponsible behavior creates problems for other people on the block because it encourages this kind of feeding. Ultimately the raccoon becomes dependent, and this will not end well.

  • @lizardqueen22

thats why urban raccoon population are out of control. Unlimited food, increases birth rate quantity and if there is food those babies will grow at a multitude.

  • @Neil6000

Exactly, this coon can spread disease like distemper and rabies and a multitude of other illnesses to her cat by allowing them to feed in the same area and probably from the same bowl.

  • I love how around 2 in he comes back and reaches his paw around the corner! ha ha! and I love that the cat is like "whatever, that's cool". :D

  • It's funny how he kept looking at the camera. lol

  • the raccoon is so cute and curious.

  • Greedy little thing, just has to go back for seconds.

  • I wonder how the raccoon would react if the cat door was configured to only allow the cat to enter and not to leave the house...

  • so cute

  • i think the coon came back from the door because you had a none threatening voice approach.

do you lock the cat door at night?

otherwise it will probebly keep coming back

  • ye i think so too...now if she were yelling lmao it'd start running its ass off
