  • Would have been funner if it was on Minecraft....

  • What's a "petroluxis"?

  • @jack: With no other systems in place to prevent it, oil was free to pour from the open well head into the water.

  • @jackdolson88: Such sudden spikes in pressure should be controlled by a device known as a blowout preventer (BOP).

  • The blast which tore through the Deepwater Horizon drill rig was caused by a blowout – a high-pressure ball of gas, mud and oil that shot up from the oil reservoir. Is there any fast method to prevent it ?

  • I study on net that while drilling for oil, huge safety valves called “blowout preventers” are used. Blowout preventers manage the pressure in deep oil and gas wells.

  • Online presence really makes the difference, thanks for the video .

  • Good video marketing is becoming more effective way of online business promotion.

  • Awesome video!

  • This video helped me in understanding the importance of OFF SHORE CLEAN UP OF THE GULF SPILL .

  • good presentation on off shore clean up of the gulf spill.

  • The worst oil spill in the nation's history has affected all five Gulf Coast states

  • this video helped me in understanding the importance of off shore

  • Water effect in video was Simply coooool

  • I think the entire country benefits from the energy generated by offshore drilling

  • Near to me it is most effective way to clean up of the gulf spill

  • With the growth of internet, online marketing is becoming essential for many businesses.

  • @stickpull: yes, it is

  • Nice work in video, interesting....

  • Rough waves have halted offshore skimming in different areas..

  • Good video..........

  • Offshore drilling isn't just an environmental issue for Gulf states, it's a political one, and it's now figuring prominently in Florida's multi-way Senate race.

  • Outstanding video! Very on point. Thanks for taking the time to share your insight!

  • It had once been an offshore supply barge.

  • Great insight man, much appreciated.

  • Interesting method of cleaning the gulf spill.

  • I learn a lot from this video, great guide

  • @janesadam40: Many large-scale skimmers are therefore unable to be used in the cleanup because they exceed this limit

  • Environmental Protection Agency prohibits the use of skimmers that leave more than 15 parts per million of oil in the water.

  • A contentious issue emerging in the Gulf oil spill cleanup is the number of skimming vessels in the Gulf

  • it could take up to three months to complete.

  • I like the video.

  • Burning oil spills is a known an accepted practice to clean up oil spills.

  • Buring the oil, and actually pumping oil off the Gulf's surface is an effective methods.

  • Time to eliminate ALL off-shore drilling Immediately!

  • I like the 3d model of the ship in video ...!

  • if it was far enough from shore, safe enough and clean enough.

  • Amazing billions of dollars the cleanup effort in the Gulf is going to end up costing

  • Oil-spill cleanup workers may be exposed to crude oil through inhalation

  • How Microbes Will Clean Up the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

  • it's hard to find where the heaviest patches are. But that's where you want to direct responders and dispersants.

  • Accidents on land are easier to contain and clean up than those at sea.

  • oil spill response is a largely low-tech business that hasn't changed that much over the years.

  • I think all branches of reserve military should be first responders and have knowledge of clean up spills.

  • It looks like they're winging it and that their plans require several weeks to implement.

  • what a massive oil spill.. it will take long to clean this mess up.. our marine animals will be affected by these..

  • It would be in the best interests of the entire industry to try and help contain this thing.

  • it is a BIG one in this business...who is also providing support in terms of personnel, ships, technical expertise and it even mentioned submersible technology.

  • Hmm they wait a day or two then start putting them along the shore. If you think about it, sort of logical since numerous ships were out there within a couple hours of the incident. Instead of having 100's of miles of boom across areas this would be cut down to less than a 100 if they circle it fairly quickly and have ships skimming the surface.

  • Ships can spread them out around the spill and contain upto 95% of it to one area. Interesting ....

  • I think they have air lift booms and drop them into the ocean upto 5 miles away from the source.

  • Hmm one solution that should be followed in this situation and was mentioned by a friend of mine who works on the ocean for a living.

  • Yet accidents on land are easier to contain and clean up than those at sea.

  • A comprehensive 2009 inventory of offshore Gulf species counted 15700.

  • Big Oil has perpetuated a dangerous myth that coastline oil drilling is a completely safe endeavor

  • Better clean that shit up before it is carried with the gulf stream to our shores. That would be a disaster for our fishing industry! A quite large industry, it would be sooo bad for us!!!

  • good solution

  • Nice Solution
