  • Go Brushes settings (4th icon on the vertical bar to the right in CS3) Under brush presets make sure Shape Dinamics is checked, and in shape dinamics tab make sure the control option (first scrolling bar) is set to Pen Pressure, you dont have to adjust anything else

  • english T.T

  • You know their is an easy way? :|

  • awsum fanx

  • What program did u used for recording this video ?

  • Camtasia

  • i can't do the swirl -.-'

  • me either.

  • so... you must watch this video :P

  • Nice and easy :) Thanks for making this!

  • nice easy tutorial.....5*

  • yeah, after you press stroke path its ment to show the actual finished line right? yes, well my line just looks like the path and is really thin, how do i fix this??

  • thanks !

  • can somebody help me please, im new to photoshop

when i do the stroke path, the white line that is suppose to come up, is really light and you can hardly see it

  • Are you talking about when you stroke the path?

All you have to do is either change the color, or you have the opacity on the right under layers down. Check this, and maybe you can figure it out

  • change the hardness to 100% or pick a diffrent brush.

  • This probably looks MUCH better with a tablet. But, if you lack a tablet, go grab Illustrator, which was made for this.

  • pls help

i make the swirl with the Pen Tool, but when i simulate pressure, it's like i didn't simulate pressure at all.

if i check the Simulate Pressure box or I don't, it is the same thing, like it has no effect

    -_-'

    pls reply

  • Hey, theres a button at the top when you select the brush, called Brushes Menu if you pause the video at 0:09 DIRECTLY under her close (X) button, is the button im talking about. Go there, and go to Shape Dynamics, once there you'll see Control: Drop Down. In that drop down, select Pen Pressure. Afterwards, redo the simulate pressure in the tut, and viola.

  • thanks [;

  • i just downlaoded photoshop today..

and this helped me out alot !

    thanks (;

  • what is the program you used to make this video

  • How do you photoshop? is it a program ?

  • how come when i make my thing, it's not like yours. mine is the same width on the whole thing, yours is narrow at the tips, how do i make mine like that?

  • Imma take a stab and say you didn't turn on simulate pressure. If you did I have know clue that was me best guess.

  • it did thanks ahha

  • Wow, that was easy!! Thanks! ^-^

  • ok thanks and how do i make my beams wider?

  • select your brush first, then change it to a wider brush and go back to the tool u need to use

  • when i right click it doesnt give me the option to stroke path

  • make sure you have your pen tool selected when you right click.if not then its gonna give you different options :)

  • hey when i do it the end of the path it doesnt end pointy ? do u now why ??

  • hm maybe you have too big of a brush size.thats most likely it.you should go and change your brush size to the size you want the swirl too be.

  • I tried that but it still dont work Reply

  • hmmmm.i don't know what you could've done i have not ever had that problem.all i can tell you is to go back and make sure you follow every step correctly.sorry if i didnt help much.:\

  • Thank you anyway

  • Thank you anyway

  • HI.. uhm.. we have the same problem.. but i resolved mine.. just choose the brush tool then right click then beside the "master diameter" there is an arrow, click that then choose "Reset brushes" after that.. try it again.. i dont know if it will work, but that's how I did it. and it works perfectly

  • you should check if your "simulate pressure" is checked.:)

  • great just made my life easier to making these swirls :P
