The UFO can be destroyed, it gives you a BIG amount of points for doing it.

Yeah, I destroyed the UFO once, but not sure if it was worth it in the end. Cost me a life doing so.

@gdashred Destroying the UFO requires the use of the soda cans. When you see the spaceship, toss your soda cans into that small port in the lower left corner that opens and closes. Toss enough cans and the ship will vaporize and you get a bonus for stopping the alien invasion! ;D
