muy bien hablado, carro se les dice en muchos paises a ecepcion de españa que le dicen coche al carro y carro a los cochecitos esos que son para llevar las compras del supermercado, pero exelente!
@gilimemo estAIS en vuestros aposentos...a eso me refiero!!! esa forma de hablar se usaba en la edad media. Más de 15 paisesde habla hispana no hablan así y eso que son del subdesarrollo y tercer mundo. TIENEN QUE MODERNIZARSEN LINGÜISTICAMENTE!!!
Don't get so complicated. Consider that Spanish is spoken differently in every spanish speaking country as it is English in every English speaking country . In that case consider that american English pronounciation is different than British English and you are not going to make americans pronounce or write British English. Example:U.K.: colour,centre,tyre/U.S. color, center, tire.
I think the effort is good whether carro is coche or not. The post is good. American kids wathing other Americans speak Spanish is great idea too. So they can relate and get interested in learning. Awareness is always great. Bus is also named different in many countries. The same for pen. Teaching Spanish is hard. Too many Spanish/Hispanic countries have many different words used differently. For example, in Spain I understand they dub all non-Spanish movies to Spanish. What is up with that?
Then before start learning spanish the best thing you can do is to think which Spanish to larn.. I have the same problem with the English, well I think I don't have any mistake but I want to speak Canadian English just 'cause I think it's more neutral. If it's traditional Spanish then you should try learning the one that is spoken in Spain. Let me add that the correct Spanish is the one that you pronounce all the letters.
hi! im spanish and i would like to say you that Carro doesnt mean car (in spain car is coche) and C is not prnounced like s . It is pronunced like Th in Thougth.
That's true.. when you say "Carro" it means two things (Cart Purchase: Used in supermarkets; or the vehicle added to a horse) the word "Carro" comes from the latin "Carrus" and it's used for animal traction. When you say "Coche" you mean the vehicle that is motorized with null or less help from animals/humans. Hope this explanation helps.
That's right. I'm happy spanish is a language with lots of varieties all over the world, because it leaves so much to learn, even for native speakers.
It depends on the country.. In Colombia is totally carro, coche would sound weird.. that in comparison with Mexico for instance, they say coche most of the times.

well, in latin America they say carro, and in Spain it's called coche
Vikifus 3 years ago
True =) I asked it to the RAE and since it's common to say "carro", so nowadays it isn't wrong.

They say "carro", but others say "Auto", here, in Spain, it's called coche, as you said.

no we rarely say coche its always carro
cocula77 2 years ago
that's not completely true. The word "coche" was used even before the motorized car was invented. Automóvil was the word for that machine.
fidelium1985 2 years ago
coche= regionalismo en México para cerdo, más que nada en el sur del país, después ya se utiliza para el carro
Gajhorors 2 years ago
In spain it is spelled like "Th", but in Latin America it's like an "s"
