harry potter the films are class acts, a story tale that every child and in my case adult(yeah right) would love to lose their self in and forget about our little suburban nightmares and paying bills etc, they will be missed but we will carry the legacy on, long live harry potter and friends!!!
Comparing Harry Potter to. Twilight. is so stupid (I put them into two sentences cuz twilight doesnt deserve the honor). Harry Potter wins every time. It's like comparing two foods; Harry Potter is ice cream, and twilight is the fork, cuz you don't eat Harry Potter flavored ice cream with a twilight spoon >:)
the echoing drum beats...the camera facing the once proud castle now in ruins....students running out to see what Neville was looking at...Harry's body in Hagrids arms...and Ron and Hermione looking helpless at their best friend...such a solemn scene. :)
this scene was so sad and i was distraught to think that evil was won. i feared voldemort so much - then i heard his laugh and felt like punching the screen and laugh :)
Thing: If Hagrid was carrying Harry, he definitely would've known he was alive . . . heartbeat, anyone? You can definitely feel someone's heartbeat if you're carrying them . . .
Alot of people say that Hagrid's blank look ruined the scene...it wasn't blank. It was a look of disbelief and shock. Hagrid never would have dreamed of carrying the dead body of his best friend, yet when he was doing so, he was unprepared for it and he simply couldn't believe that it was happening. Not to mention he also felt that the battle was lost and evil had triumphed.
@hockeyfan202 True, but I was disappointed because in the book, I remember Hagrid crying while he carried Harry. Just like I was disappointed by the Unbreakable Vow in the sixth movie, where Narcissa is super stoic compared to the very emotional Narcissa shown in the book. In the book, Narcissa cried so much she could barely speak, she begged Snape on her knees to protect Draco, in the movie she was so blank. Same with Hagrid.
I may have read all the books, and known what was going to happen the entire time, but that did not stop me from crying through at least half of this movie. Long Live Harry Potter!!
you know i did not cry at the end. ive been a fan of the series for so long. but i did not cry. mainly because i could not cry. i was and still am numb to the fact that theres no more waiting for the next movie no more books no more harry potter but these last 10 years sure have changed my life. Harry Potter will never die as ling as the stories are true to our hearts
I saw every single one of these movies for the first time with my Dad... When we went to see this one, I cried the whole time, and he laughed to whole time. When we got out I asked him why he was laughing. He said he was laughing at me D=
I didn't saw the first one in theater cause I was like 5, but I remember when my mom brough the dvd home and when I first watch it, it was... magical ! I remember seeing Daniel, Rupert and Emma on the Oprah show to promote HP2 and I was so exited like " omg mom!! They gonna do a second one! :D" lol , After that I saw them all in theaters (:
Harry Potter is been there almost all my life, and I feel like a part of me ended this summer..
oh i wasn't being condescending, i was just wondering since you were so young when the first movies came out. I was 10 when i read the Philosophers (teacher assigned it) and i was 13 when the movie came.

I really wish that McGonagall had been the first one to scream, like in the book, as opposed to Ginny. McGonagall has been there with them through everything, and has been such a strong supporting figure, as opposed to Ginny who, in the movies, hardly features!
@Kysfallen Exactly! From the moment she went to ask Severus' help I knew she didn't want the life she was having. But who would think that she'd actually save Harry... :)
@ManelinhoAraujinho i really agree with u because narcissa is the only malfoy i respect...she could go to any extent for her family! draco & lucius weren't that brave..
@ManelinhoAraujinho Voldemort totally overestimated her loyalty, I believe. I mean he's the one who sends her to Harry's body (at least in the book, in the movie she goes by herself), HE picked her after everything he'd done to her family, and expected her to be honest? Get with the program, Voldy. On a sidenote, I started liking Narcissa when she went to Snape for Draco, but I completely fell in love with the character in that scene.
@Kysfallen Yes, and not just a woman, again it was a woman who was desperate to protect her child, just like Lily did so many years before .... Wish all mothers were like that :/
@Lumi7979 Yes, JKR makes mothers so poweful, lol. Lily's sacrifice spared Harry (and would have killed Voldemort if not for the Horcruxes), Molly's anger let her kill Bellatrix (who, JKR stated herself, was only bested by Voldemort and Dumbledore themselves when it came to duelling), and Narcissa found the strength to lie to Voldemort. Loved. It.
@Kysfallen Wow, go Molly xD Rowling has also said her mother's death played a great part in shaping the books, so that might be relevant too. Sometimes the books are such wonderful tributes to what women, and mostly what true LOVE, can do, and too many people these days are just ignoring how powerful it really it is... Granted JKR has said the Harry Potter books are mainly about death, but I think they are also about love, and very much so :)
@caramelslider298 I'm not sure what's your point here. She DID successfully lie to Voldemort. In the book, Voldemort is even the one asking her to check Harry's body. Whether she managed to lie because she's a very skilled Occlumens or because Voldemort simply did not expect the lie and didn't try to make sure she was being honest is unsure, believe what you want, but the fact of the matter is that she had the balls to stand there and claim that Harry was dead even though she knew it wasn't true
come on guys, "my childhood's over"??! Well I'll tell you my childhood's not over as long as I have the books on my shelf waiting for me to return to the magical world. (And I bet I'll still be going there when I'm 30...)
Here's to James and Lily Potter. To Cedric Diggory. To Sirius and Regulus Black, Amelia Bones, and Florean Fortescue. Here's to Albus Dumbledore. To Hedwig, Alastor Moody, and Rufus Scrimegour. Here's to Dobby. Here's to Lupin and Tonks, to Fred Weasley and Colin Creevey. Here's to Severus Snape, and here's to Harry Potter, the boy who lived.
@meteosmaster gosh, this made me bawl my eyes out. The music is bad enough but to actually read a list of all the GREAT characters who died in an attempt to stand up to evil, its awfully powerful and emotional.
This song just describes the loss we all feel at the end of the series and movies. I turn 18 in only a few months and this movie just shows how fast childhood is dwindling away. Nothing quite captures the true feeling of sorrow at the deaths of those who died fighting Voldemort and his Death Eaters like this song does.
Thumbs up if you think the hug between Draco and Voldemort was super awkward!!!!!! lol! If their hug was a patronus, it would be a turtle. (awkward turtle)
Did anyone else feel like a dementor sucked the happiness out of them the day after they saw the last movie? I sure did, I grew up with HP, and now my childhood is over :,(

this songs makes me cry everytime. everytime i listen to it, i realize my childhood is now over. i grew up with all of this characters from sorcerer's stone, and its ending when im an 18 year old. RIP harry potter. you made me a very happy kid/teenager.
@1234seanmelia Colin Creevey! In the books, and in Chamber of Secrets, the Movie, he was the little boy, a year younger than Harry, who kept taking pictures of everyone, asking for autographs, and he was petrified by the Basilisk!
@1234seanmelia Colin, in the book, snuck back in, after he was forced to evacuate, and died in the battle. I think its an insult to his memory that they didn't show him in the movie...

Here's to Colin, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, and 50 others, who's bodies lay in the great hall, facing up toward the star-strewn sky.

@1234seanmelia Colin Creevey! In the books, and in Chamber of Secrets, the Movie, he was the little boy, a year younger than Harry, who kept taking pictures of everyone, asking for autographs, and he was petrified by the Basilisk!

@verypen what colin !!!!!
when did he die.! i didnt see him in the move :/

@1234seanmelia Colin, in the book, snuck back in, after he was forced to evacuate, and died in the battle. I think its an insult to his memory that they didn't show him in the movie...
