This really isn't that far-fetched.. the energy of conciousness isn't something modern science really understands and energy is neither created nor destroyed.. when you die your energies are consumed by (and mixes with) that of other living beings, and it's possible those energies can work their way up the food-chain back to being within a human.. if you think about it, the atoms in your body have been around since the start of the universe, physically we are all ~13 billion years old.

When I was a child, I too remembered a past life. I remember everything about it, vividly. I talked about it to a few people, most thought I was crazy and making it up. There's no way to know if these people are being honest or not. The mother could have coached the boy to say those things, and he actually sounds like he's reciting lines he's learned when he speaks in that monotone way.

The whole phenomena is a massive hallucination caused dying brain cells. There is NO plausible science that says consciousness can exist outside the body, in an immaterial form.

@firexeye Universal Law of Conservation of Energy and Matter, energy neither created nor destroyed, puzzles: no one figures out where this energy goes after death, so I postulate the energy, the universal life force, spirit, soul etc. could move into another person however theoretical. Accounts bridge gap since a great human testimony, suggests it's true. So, I don't rule out the possibilities. Always wonder first, then be a skeptic of your own findings.

Anyone interested in this most fascinating subject must read the book;

"Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a WWII Fighter Pilot" by Andrea and Bruce Leininger. This is, by far, one of the best documented past-life cases. Fact after fact, that this little boy revealed, was proven to be correct. Kudos to the parents of James for bringing this story to the world. More importantly is that Bruce was tenacious in his quest to find a 'rational" answer, only to discover that it was real.

The book goes on and on about minuscule daily family activity while avoiding any in depth exploration of the actual situation. Too much magical thinking for me or desire to publish a best seller. Most of the factual information could have been presented in a pamphlet.
