Great job explaining, had to laugh a little when he had to pause for a moment as the cars drove by. Reminds me of the road I live on with all the traffic.
@MrKillSmith hey man, thanks for the comment. They talk Penn. Dutch, and have only a 8th grade education, if that's what you're referring to. Let me check your stuff out. Later......
@SeaCoastGirl1987 Me too. Not having to worry about fashion. Those dresses seem comfy. And the most attractive thing for me would be being self sufficient. Growing my own food and not having to depend on the outside world seems very attractive. Plus is way healthy.
I mean sure, if you were used to modern things all your life it is and will be difficult for you to comfortably adjust to the amish way of living as they use no modern technology at all. Not to mention they do not marry outside of there community, the family normally will shun there own child if he/she decides to marry outside the community. The label that as a sin. But it would be nice living like that after you get used to having no modern technology.
@SeaCoastGirl1987 -nope not me, much too many regulations, and too many things to feel guilty about. They are kind of socialist like other religions, and after living here most of my life I find them and Mennonites clannish and racist ......oh my.
