I went out and bought Bee Gees mythology. It's a 4 disc album, 21 songs on each by each Bee Gee(lead) + Andy, has a biography about them. Price $60. The next day at work I told a guy I worked with that I had purchased it and told him the price. He says, "Money Well Spent". Bee Gees and PRICELESS!!!
its so funny I was raised in this generation in the 70's..I was t young to see the film in 78..I grew up in Brooklyn near o the area where they filmed the movie back in 76-77..and it was great to know at that time that they filmed so close to where I was living..Great Music from that period

I wasn't even alive when Saturday Night Fever came out. I was born in '83 but I still am a huge fan of the Bee Gees. A timeless group. Sad thing is, alot of the kids today will never appreciate such a prolific group. Talent of this calibre is lost on them. Truly sad indeed.
Falsetto is a very complicated vocal technique, moresoever, if you listen tracks like "Run to me" you will find out the outstanding vocal Bee Gees' harmonies. I will admire them forever. They really can sing.
We sadly will never see the like of this band again, every album was a gem scattered with the most amazing tunes, I was lucky enough to see them live a few times. Of all the bands I have ever seen they were by far the best, the harmony, the songs were just stunning!
The Bee Gees have been around for over 50 years and have had so many hits all over the world............simply amazing. Love their ballads!! There will never be another group like this.
always and forever reminds me of an ex gf of mine who's name was marie.
we first met and started to go out in 79 and this song seemed to be played wherever we went. hell it was popular! that relationship only lasted a few months and marie died about 3 years ago of a blood clot on the brain.
@MichaelJimson Sadly enough it was overexposure!, they were so populair that they get banned from the radio by prof, DJ,s they had to retreat for a few years, in the mean time they wrote nr 1 hits for Streisand,Dionne Warwick,Diana Ross Dolly Parton etc, till the world was ready for them to come back again. You can,t destroy talent by banning them,it,s been proven that only their own death can stop them but not even then in total.BarryandRobin still write songs and Robin is still touring.respect
@MichaelJimson These guys are immortal annyway, their music has been covered from Elvis in 1970 till Destiny,s child and Boyzone and neither of them did not change a singletune in it, timeless music.
Even though I was on the "disco sucks" bandwagon back then, I have to admit that these were really great songs with a lot of talent and feeling behind them. Same with a lot of the stuff we stigmatized as "disco." Of course it really did start to suck when they started to put that mechanical "disco beat" behind everything.
I used to secretly listen to and enjoy this stuff when none of my peer pressure group was around... As it turns out, so did they! LOL!
i'm 20 yrs old now but among my peers i'm the only one listening to retro and evergreen music..they call me "old chap" 4 that but i don't care...i just love the music!
Da können sich die kids von heute mal echte Musik von richtigen Musikern anschauen. Mann, waren wir früher coole Schweine !

Saturday Night Fever is still the biggest selling soundtrack album of all time though in the USA The Bodyguard soundtrack has sold a fraction more.
Worldwide, Fever is still the 2nd biggest selling album ever after Thriller, having sold 40 million copies compared to the 55 million of Thriller"
