They were fantastic entertainers. The Russian Tom and Jerry!!!! The greatest Eastern European tale in Central Europe. From1969. Good God! My mother was four years old. and my father was nine years old.

  • @nixflags Dorogoi dlinnoyu

  • @nixflags "Those were the Days, my Friends." It's a Russian/Gypsy song that was very popular in the West in the late 60s. (Mary Hopkins' version reached the #1 position in the UK.) Try the version by the Leningrad Cowboys -- it's sounds like they're having fun!

    Cheers

  • hey there sangsues, remarkable quality! It's way too bad that youtube does not allow full tv episodes as well as movies otherwise youtube would certainly be the best. That's why I RANDSET(use|started using|depend on|go with|go to|head over to)# |stream episodes [dot] net| instead in order to watch all of the shows and movies that youtube doesn't permit

    Nu Pogodi Episode 5

  • I had a few episodes of this on a really low budget cartoon tape in the early 90's however, the version I had was dubbed in English and the title was simply renamed to 'Big Bad Wolf'. It was only recently I found out that it was originally Russian and the original title was 'Nu Pogodi'. I could never work out the gender of that rabbit.

  • its a little boy, I used to watch this when I was little (in russian of course)

  • The hippo looks like Mike Tyson

  • Funny how he was checking out watermelons, rofl XD.

  • @languissant

    cretin

  • 4:30 Is the "Those Were the Days" originally written in Russia but then translated by Gene (something) to English.

It's still a very popular song today and one of the popular songs that sung around a campfire.

    M. Izmajlova - Those Were The Days (Дорогой длинною)

Search the above and listen to her, she has an amazing voice!

Thanks again for posting up, takes me back to my old days when I lived in Leningrad.

  • 1:53; That's what smoking can do to you.

  • the russian Tom and Jerry, although a lot more original i would say - hence the chain smoking wolf! i grew up on it and i still love it!! xD
