  • Very nice build ! I like that you don't ruin the wing profil ! very very smart and clean build ! It was also smart when u used a lipo warning + mic instead of OSD, I am so going to think about that solution on my next fpv plane. Wich video tx/rx??

  • @stonebayrocker Hey, this is my old and ugly swift 2, i have made a new one now, look at my newer video "My new FPV Swift 2" (RL85Ukjis00) It got much better profile :-)

  • hey petleh! long toime ehh? Are you still flying fpv? I just got the maxi swift today and im going to be converting to fpv too! How does it handle all the gear? later!

  • @magicmike1122 Yes i usually fly a lot of fpv, but for now it is to cold over here, the radio signal would freeze and drop to the ground.. If you got a maxi swift you will be able to carry a horse :-) I see no issue with it carrying the fpv gear. By the way i am building a new fpv swift2 now, the one in this video died after landing in water. The new one will be more waterproof and have the camera on top. Tips: reinforce with matrix threaded fiber tape, and it will be almost indestructible !

  • @petleh82 ohh well here in california usually beautiful but lately really rainy so no flying for about a week. Sweden is beautiful otherwise right? Im swedish to but dont speak it. Anyways thanks for the tip and info. How you going to water proof everything? I want to make a fpv plane that can fly in all weather, maybe my funjet since she can handle 25mph + winds just fine. New project after the swift!!! Also i saw that you mounted everything on the bottom, can i mount my stuff on top?

  • @magicmike1122 To make my plane more waterproof i plan to build in more stuff inside of the wings. I am also going to mount the cam on top this time, and i will have no pan and tilt (no need on this plane i think).. Before you start cutting anything, tape the stuff on to make sure cg and balance is fine. So you are Swedish to ? Was your ancestors the Swedish immigrants ? One nice thing about Sweden is that we have real internets over here! I have 100mbit to my home, thats normal here ;-) ha ha

  • @petleh82 sounds cool! My dads side go all the way back to Sweden so something like that. Last night i got the servos in and the motor mounted, and the planes together of course. Today just placing everything, but yes i wont cut anything out yet.

  • What motor and esc are you using? looks like a great set up very clean

  • @coinworker Ms Composit Swift II, motor: TURNIGY 28-26 16A 1900Kv Brushless Outrunner, esc: TURNIGY Plush 18amp Speed Controller, battery: Rhino 1250mAh 31P 20C Lipoly, propeller: APC 6x4e, (hobbyking) I use the same setup in my nighflyer look at my other vid "Swift II "Night flyer" build"...

  • Good job, very clean!

  • Tremendous layout there and a really like your camera hiding idea!

  • cool

  • Using 2,4 Ghz video and rc would cause interference in the video and probably reduced rc range, but 1,3 Ghz video works perfect with 2,4Ghz rc systems.

  • Well done - clean work - good idea (hiding the Cam, and popping out, when in use!!!)

you use 2,4 Ghz RC --- and also 2,4Ghz on your Video???

  • After test flight i have moved the receiver away from the video tx, since it was affected by it...
