No. I said God speaks to individuals through a still, small voice, inaudible but clear to those who truly are open to and seeking His truth. In fact, He calls people to salvation sometimes if they're not even seeking Him, but still are looking for the truth. God speaks to ALL through His written word, the Holy Bible. When properly interpreted, literally, and in context, there is no misunderstanding Him. The confusion comes in when His word is 'man-handled'.
The Holy Spirit whispers Spirit to spirit; God to man. It's not something heard, but it is a message clearly understood. An unmistakeable urging. A drawing that has to be resisted to keep from responding to it. He clearly calls people to the cross, giving them enough understanding to know that Jesus is their only hope of forgiveness. Don't expect to understand fully until you surrender to His calling, and put your faith in Jesus as your Savior.

Because I know God means what He says. I interpret His word literally. When you speak, or write, don't you mean what you say? Except for figurative language, humor, etc., aren't you trying to communicate something to those who hear/read you? No. I said God speaks to individuals through a still, small voice, inaudible but clear to those who truly are open to and seeking His truth. In fact, He calls people to salvation sometimes if they're not even seeking Him, but still are looking for the truth. God speaks to ALL through His written word, the Holy Bible. When properly interpreted, literally, and in context, there is no misunderstanding Him. The confusion comes in when His word is 'man-handled'.

The Holy Spirit whispers Spirit to spirit; God to man. It's not something heard, but it is a message clearly understood. An unmistakeable urging. A drawing that has to be resisted to keep from responding to it. He clearly calls people to the cross, giving them enough understanding to know that Jesus is their only hope of forgiveness. Don't expect to understand fully until you surrender to His calling, and put your faith in Jesus as your Savior.

The best explanation as to 'why you don't feel it' is because you aren't looking for His truth and don't believe, the two reasons I precisely gave that He calls people. After our long argument, I decided to challenge god, I said to the air, god if the bible is true then make my coin land on heads 10 times in a row and I will believe in you =). Logically, if god loves me then he would want me saved, and if the only way to be saved is to believe in jesus then he would answer my prayers. So I tried it, low and behold I got heads only 3 out of the 10 flips... Now I would like you to try it =)...

I told you once how God speaks. The Holy Spirit, who is God, calls to our spirits. It's not an audible call, but it is clear. I remember those days, before I trusted in Jesus Christ, how the Spirit urged me to act on my belief in Christ. One day when I heard the Gospel, how Jesus died to pay for my sins, I told God I believed, and asked Him to save and forgive me because of what Jesus did. And He did save me, that day. Since God cannot lie, I am saved and forgiven.
