I know what you mean, but at the same time there was and hasn't ever been anyone like him, and when he was alive he was like a rockstar when it came to fame. muhammad ali is still alive look at him.
I don't know why I wathc this trailler everyday so many times, those images and the U2 song are really awesome, answering kavikrunner and bones19565, I agree with both, but also he was famous because of his charisma.
i can absolutely say that the U2 song has a lot to do with the trailer being so awesome. i used the same song in a video that i made for science class one year and everyone loved it. you can never go wrong with U2 in a short video or a montage of some sort
haha yeah. Do you realize he owned every american record from 2,000 meters to 10,000 meters? And that he ran faster than the olympic winning time? the olympics was a fluke. He was only 21. Had he ran when he was 25 it wouldn't have even been fair. it would have been a joke.
Haha you have no idea what running really is. Pre isnt famous for what he did on the track even though he kicked some major ass! But he is famous for his toughness and how he fought for atheltes rights against the AAU and how he changed track forever. Not because the olympics you dumbass and he was only 21 when he raced and acturally ran the trials 6 seconds faster then the final.
Pre will never be truly gone becuase he's in the heart of anyone who believes that running is a work of art and that each footstride is another brush stroke on the canvas.
Great movie! I was fortunate to be cast as Lasse Viren. It was a fun movie to be in. Got to hang out with Crudup, Sutherland, and Tom Cruise. It was a gret experience.
@mac100100 I see you know the positions well. If you know what I mean. Probably from years and years of experience. If you know what I mean and I mean that you're gay. And how the fuck do you know if I'm even white you creepy fuck.
does any 1 know the name of the song in the begginning of the trailer, it ends when the news reporter starts talking, btw this movie is great, just saw it for the 1st time a few days ago, was not expectin it 2 be as good as it was
Pre has inspired me more than anyone else has in my life. It is hard to put into words the impact he has had on me and I'm sure many of you feel the same way. I'm lucky to be living in Oregon and lucky to have met his parents and to have run in the Prefontaine Memorial Classic. I love you Pre. Thanks for the legacy you left behind. - Robert
at 0:42 what does he say? it take how much more energy to lead then to follow, what % i cant make it out!!!!!! anyways love this trailer and movie, It ranks up there with Rocky 4 and Rudy... Its sad and a feel good movie at the same time 5 stars!!!!!!
Yes Rocky 4!!!!! not kidding, how the hell can you make out what he is saying at 0:42, all I hear is ""it takes ----- to lead then to follow, how did you get 8%, i guess you can add up his times, and / by 6, cause the coach said 6seconds faster his way....
I can make out 8 percent, I've seen the movie, and I've read Bowerman's book, he says it in there. Plus, if you're gonna mention Rocky, how about the first one?
Guys, Pre would have been better than viren, just shake dicks and get over it
