  • Space junk? Surrrre buddy and I suppose you also think Muslim, extremist hijackers pulled off 911 as well, huh phucktard? Space junk isn't miles, yes MILES, long. Space junk doesn't pulse ultraviolet light waves in mathematical sequences. Space junk doesn't speed past and into the earth's atmosphere and decelerate to slower speeds than an airplane within micro seconds or make right angle turns without deceleration, fool. I'm guessing physics isn't one of your strong or well-known subjects?

  • @SilverMoonAva You're a raging fag.

  • what are those lines ???

  • Thats incredible

  • who is this freaking c*** ( expletive deleted ) pretending to be a part of mission control?

  • Seems like a war to b honest. Look at the actions on some orbs they are shooting each other from long distance. You can also see some that are destroyed if you look at the video with details. We are not alone peace

  • RIP MIR

  • I greatly admire russian People . Despite they abide this man-crushing system jewish criminals had settled, during 70 years, men like Korolev ,Glouchko Gagarine or Krikalev succeeded in their faith for space conquest. A thing for which the Parti did not fed any interest at all . As well as for Von Braun , these great men dreamt of man in space , theire governments thought only in matters of weapons .But they did it ! So few of these stories ..

  • fast forward with the bar back and forth

and you can really see them going in and out of the atmosphere flying freely without gravitational restriction.

they also seem to jump in and out very frequently

  • Shooting stars cant escape earths gravity, so they wouldnt be flying away from earth like the straking objects on the video

  • shooting stars and space junk.

  • What the hell shoots out of the MIR @ 1.37???

Please tell me if i'm looking at the wrong thing?

  • 1:40 in theres one center left that appears out of thin vacuum. Note that the objects survive camera panning and zooming, which close ice crystals would not. note that some change directions.

  • Look middle, center of video;now just a little bit right. At 1:07 in; watch UFO accelerate from 0 to 9,999mph?and cross from center to lower left between the shuttle and earths rim. Announcer does her best, but she stops speaking several times; surprised by all the other UFO's one sees in this video.Cannot be explained except unidentified flying objects.Other voice starts at 2:18 and states:"Yes we do see something flashing visually but were not sure that that might be ahhh..." Try maybe a UFO

  • Im wondering what Russians know....how much more about the UFO's

  • What was that streaking thing at 1:37 and near the end going from right to left on the screen?

  • A meteroite.

  • Lier

  • First, 'Lier' is spelt 'Liar'. Second, watch a meteorite shower. That is what they look like, you stupid philestein.

  • Lier Liar what ever the fact that you think like a sheep explains everything u Zionist.

  • [clap clap clap] You know a relatively unknown word. But before using it, look up what it means. No, I don't support the re-establishment of palestinian jewish homeland. And is correct spelling thinking like a sheep? No. Spelling words wrongly makes you look thicker than pig shit. And the fact you won't back down and admit you can't spell 4 letter words suggests that you are another ego-maniac american degenerate with a brain the size of a particularly stupid peanut.

  • actually i am from Holland , but i speak 5 languages. since you are so full of your self ill let you have this one. Good luck with your life as a English teacher.

  • No, I am not gong to become an english teacher. I live in england, therefore I speak english (unlike 70% of everyone who lives here). So many damn immigrants here I wonder if I should learn 5 languages to make life easier.

  • wtf its real

  • WHat the fuck are we going to do with all

this space?? This shit is limitless..funny to

think it's only us here ahahahahahahah...then what is the point

of all this bull shit space. cmon now..there's more out there..JUST DON'T TRUST

    GOVERMENTS (RULERS,POWER)

  • oh and space junk doesn't float intiligently it'll sit there and then just fall into the atmosphere and BURN!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

  • wow, thats CRAZY! seems like 'SPACE' was very busy that day/night~! thats alot of aircrafts flying around..

  • I just want to know...with all those "things" flying around out there (that look huge by the way) how has the shuttle and or space station not been hit by any of these things regardless of what they are? You would think after all the missions and the space station, that is a "sitting-duck", would be bombarded by all the stuff flying around in space. Unless maybe those objects are "intelligently" flown? What's NASAs explanation?

  • Good question, I ask this myself too.

  • that's because they don't fly anywhere close to the stations at all. the station will zoom in on them when it captured a moving object or a heat source

  • What so after all these years of space exploration going to the moon etc no craft as ever been hit by a piece of spacejunk like these flying around. There hiding something from us, you would have to be extremely lucky not to be hit by some of this space junk.

  • every government keeps secrets from it's citizens, it's just the nature of war and technology, we wouldn't want the soviet union or the u.s.s.r knowing about our spy planes, and the same thing with them not wanting us to know about theirs. plus in the UK soil you can't talk about american nuclear technology if you don't want to get arrested. just like the men in black legend and area 51 in nevada

  • the space shuttle did get hit by a fleck of paint. nearly bashed a hole in it. cant remeber which mission

  • @firefly4tori well think about how many rockets we're firing up there every month for tv and radio satellites and other useless shit. the rockets and parts carrying those satellites dont always fall back down to earth in one piece so you have chips and pieces and little parts of debris from all that shit burning through the atmosphere just sitting up in space orbiting the planet. all those white things are space trash particles. its so dirty up there its sad.

  • @firefly4tori nasa says its water drops

  • Space junk is quite smal.. from half an inch down to 0.1 micro

  • Have one of you guy's ever saw the "space serpents"?

  • I have. I have a documentary where two astronauts discuss the "space serpents" phenomenon on camera. Absolutely mind boggling. I was thinking... is that where the traditional Chinese dragons originate from?

  • there not dragons. though that would be cool. but nothing from this planet would be able to survive out there with out protective suites

  • if John Lennon had seen this vid he'd have sung "above us only sky and tons of space crap"

  • LOL

  • what about the "space crap" that appears out of thin air? This must be some kind of magical space junk, Use your brain man thats why god gave you one!

  • Yep, use your brain. That's why God gave you one. This "space crap" seems to pulsate, change direction and appear out of thin air.

  • you guys are hilarious

  • The commentator specifically stated that the difficulty in finding Mir would be due to the stars. If the difficulties were due to debris, she would have said debris.

  • HAHAHAH..There so much Ufos they can't find it, LOL:P

    Owned N.A.S.A

  • know that astronauts are not in space to find aliens , they are paid to their ridiculous scientific research !

  • Why's it 'ridiculous'?

  • mokotoa, ROFL :DDD

  • lol which flashing object?

  • Near earth space is teeming with vast fleets of alien spacecraft. Based upon the number seen in this view and extrapolating globally, there must be millions of them!!! They are plainly visible in this video. Why isn't this a common topic in astronomy journals? Why are astrophysics departments in all universities not covering this astounding fact? M

  • Shure, every light in this video is a UFO, but that is so boring that they try to find an old russian spacestation 800 miles away ...

  • Did you notice two objects that appear out of nowhere? One is at 1:17, look at about exactly the horizontal center of the screen, and about 3/8 from the top, an object will appear out of nowhere, follow it. At 1:40, a little to the left of the horizontal center and about exactly half way vertically, an object will appear out of nowhere as well. They're quite large and should be easy to notice.

  • NOT ALIENS! They are tons of tiny bits of space debris from past missions & micro to small meteors. As for the "Blinking Lights" & sudden appearances of lights @ 1:17 & 1:40 in the video, they are objects (most likely space junk or possibly satellites) in LEO that either cross out of earth's shadow into sunlight (this goes for the steady objects) or are objects that tumble erratically & reflect/flash sunlight back at the camera much like moving a mirror in sunlight (the blinking objects).

  • Yeah. That was my point. If there are millions of alien craft encircling our planet, why would the greater scientiffic community ignore it? You're right. I bet all that floating debris is associated with this mission. Blinking things are irregularly shaped bits tumbling and catching the sun's light. This is some sort of low light capability camera.

  • because the greater scientific community are lemmings who only learn from books and don't use their brain. Either that or they know they will be destroyed if they try to expose it.

  • Nisguy, You say all the NASA aeronotical scientists, all astrophysicists at NASA and every university look at this video, that they don't know what all that stuff out there is, that NONE of them are curious enough about it to investigate it? Furthermore, you suggest that YOU know better than ALL of them what that stuff is, that the scientists are under mortal threat of speaking truthfully about it from some black agency that YOU are immune from?

Have you EVER had a conversation with a PHD?

  • i didn't say any of that so I don't even know how to respond. cheers

  • im a smartass

  • bull crap. even if there were 100 trillion tons of junk up there, what would you expect the chances were to see it in such a narrow field of view? do you have any clue how large the earth is? even more the diameter of the upper atmosphere?

  • Nisguy: "diameter of the upper atmosphere?"

I'd say Earth Diameter plus 350 km. 12,742km plus 350 equals 13,092km. Right?

I agree that it's pretty unlikely their camera view would just happen to take in that much space junk that's randomly floating around and is so close to their own orbital velocity. It's debris associated with the Shuttle. I don't hear them saying, "Wow, Houston, the extraterrestrials are so thick today we can barely tell MIR from all the swarming flying saucers!"? LOL!

  • I'm sorry, i can't buy "debris associated with the shuttle". Space debris is deadly for fragile satellites and structures, so I would think space debris from that mission would be kept to a minimum. Why would the astronauts be so careless with their junk anyways? Even if it's from that mission, why is it at such varying velocities, distances, and angles? I'm not attacking anyone on here, but the reasons for proving it's not what others think it is are weak given a little examination. cheers

  • "I don't hear them saying, "Wow, ... flying saucers!"? LOL!"

Well of course they don't if this was meant for live broadcast. It may be my imagination but the woman sounds a bit nervous when some of those moving objects appear. Apparently, there is always UFO activity during shuttle missions. Just watch a few more NASA vids on Youtube, because there are more convincing ones than this. But in the end, draw your own conclusions and only believe what you are ready for...cheers

  • JPL has their nickers in a twist because it may be possible that some Martian microbes are flatulating measurable amounts of methane while NASA Astronauts (who are not ALL American) find that observing alien spacecraft to be very common... and this experience is not shared by the worlds' astronomical community, who are able to image satellites and the ISS? This story would be BIG NEWS that could not be contained by The Illuminati or whoever you think runs around threatening UFO observers.

  • If all was normal you should see nothing but stars. Instead you see several things out there floating , blinking , and streaking out there. Thats why they can't distinguish the MIR from all the other stuff flying around.

  • Not true, There is thousands of tons of space junk from past missions surrounding the earth in LEO (Low Earth Orbit). Not to mention and number of trillions of tiny meteors from all parts of the solar system that daily bombard the earth. Most of these meteors are no bigger then pieces of dust or sand so we usually don't see them from the ground, That explains the "streaks" you see, the blinking lights are explained in another comment. :~)

  • ..but shouldn't NASA astronauts be able to tell the difference between the massive Russian Space Station MIR and space junk or any type of debris? And as for the "streaks" the Shuttle is 200 miles above the atmosphere. You can't see a meteor that vividly ABOVE the atmosphere. Meteors aren't visible in space until they hit the Earth's atmosphere and burn so we shouldn't see glowing "streaks" like those in the video if its a meteor.

  • 1) MIR was not massive by any means, it was actually quite small, only slightly larger then the Space Shuttle. Besides, even if it was massive as you suggest, think of the largest human structure in the world that you can possibly imagine... ok got it? Now travel 800 miles away from it and tell me if you think you will still be able to see it. Whatever you imagined, MIR is probably way less than 1/100th of the size.

  • I wouldn't be able to detect it.....but shouldn't NASA astronauts be able to detect MIR?....and distinguish it from space junk or whatever type of debris floating around there?

  • In a simple camera image no not really, that would be like picking a needle out of a haystack. True MIR's position was constantly monitored from the ground but even still, picking one faint blinking point of light out of millions of points of light in a camera image would be very difficult. Of course NASA knew at all time where MIR was that is not the issue here, the issue is being able to distinguish it out of a live video feed from a grainy camera image.

  • 2) The Shuttle does not orbit 200 miles above the atmosphere, it orbits 200 miles above the EARTH in a layer of the atmosphere called the Thermosphere. The atmosphere extends far beyond that to ~440 miles, or ~6000 miles if you include the Exosphere.

  • The shuttle is filming above the atmosphere...meteors do not appear as streaks above the atmosphere..in fact you shouldn't see them at all until they hit the atmosphere and burn up.

  • 3) You most certainly would be able to see meteors burning in the atmosphere from the perspective of the shuttle. Meteors begin to burn in the atmosphere ~ 60-65 miles above the earths surface, this is the commonly excepted "edge of space". The Shuttle only travels ~140 miles above that, which, in terms of the distance you are seeing in this camera shot, is nothing.

  • Also, in addition to this in order for the Shuttle's cameras to attempt to catch MIR, it would have to look back thru the upper most part of the thicker atmosphere, which incidentally is where meteors burn up creating the streaks you see. The reason the camera has to look back thru the atmosphere is due to the curvature of the earth and our atmosphere. It is a simple trigonometric calculation, try it for yourself.

  • .....I didn't ask for why the cameras look back...but ok...you can see streaks zooming way above and beyond the atmosphere and above the glow of the Earth in the video. Watch the video.

  • Obviously I have watched the video several times. This issue of the camera looking back thru the atmosphere is vitally important here because that is what you are seeing the frame and that is where the meteor's burn up thus they are in the shot. The reason you see Streaks seemingly going "up" above the atmosphere is not so much a question of position or altitude of the object, but rather the angles at which the object enters the atmosphere.

  • "If all things traveling fast near the earth get sucked in and burn up then why don't satellites and the Space shuttle which travel around the earth at over 17,000 mph? It is called LEO or Low Earth Orbit."...If Shuttle is in L.E.O. then how can you see something streak quickly AWAY from the Earth and out into space like that at about 1:35 without any propulsion?

  • At shallow angula, stuff can skip off the upper layers of air and out forever. One huge meteor did this, which would'v dashed a city-wide swath.

  • Also, the relative position of the earth-glow in this shot is of no real importance. That glow comes from the surface of the earth or just near to it 200 miles below the camera position and at a great distance from the camera.

  • (cont.) You have to realize that you have no real sense of scale in this camera shot, the only thing I can offer as scale is the line at which the earth-glow becomes dark.

  • (Cont.) This is the Line of Demarcation between day and night on earth. What is important to realize is that that glowing section of the earth is very very far away and for all intensive purposes can only be seen as a distance backdrop and CAN NOT (without precise calculation) be taken at face value to determine if some of the meteor streaks you see seem to travel "above" the atmosphere.

  • distant

    intents and

  • Miles de objetos, sólo que hubiese explotado algún vehículo enviado al espacio, cuyas partes no son atraídas por la gravedad terrestre. ¿A quién se le ocurre que ésto es basura espacial?.

  • Who gives a shit about the crappy space junk MIR craft, what about that other objects flying around it.

The women just ignores it all. Idiots lmao.

  • This video looks cool on large screen setting.

  • es basura espacial solamente lo que se ve

  • stormwolf88 This is so hillariousely funny I nearly wet my pants when I see this.

  • wie wär's mit kometen oder satelliten ?

  • There are ice balls

  • God our education system is failing. ICe balls? What is wrong with you? Please take some science classes.

  • Actually Delfwaren might be more correct then you think. Surrounding the earth in LEO (Low Earth Orbit) are millions of tiny bits and pieces of icy space junk for any number past space missions, debris from satellite launches, Space Shuttle, etc. many of them may also likely be one of billions of tiny sand to basketball sized meteors.

  • que es eso? acaso es una guerra galactica o que?

  • man this is crazy!

  • theres so many ufo's that they really cannot find it.

  • OMG!...WE LET'S ALL DIE!! O_o

  • how many ufo's ther? any one nose lol

  • parecem verdadeiros

  • that's what I see. when I look up with my field glasses

    Some moving some not.

  • All this kinda video are realy interesting. Many objects are over the earth, but so often astronauts watch smart objects moving on

  • Commets moving that fast near the earth would be sucked in by gravity, also they would burn up very fast. Cant explain it, guess the Russians found something interesting.

  • LOL! The Russians found something ...

I think it's more like they found us.

  • If all things traveling fast near the earth get sucked in and burn up then why don't satellites and the Space shuttle which travel around the earth at over 17,000 mph? It is called LEO or Low Earth Orbit. U r correct though that nothing in this video is actually a comet, just space junk and satellites in LEO and some small space debris and meteors quickly burning up in the upper atmosphere.
