This is just frustrating, trying to watch a video like I've done for many years, gotten used to the advertisements, I get it, youtube has to make money but then stopping a video half way through telling me I have to rent it.

I already pay for the internet, there's adds everywhere, fine but this is just frustrating and frankly insulting.

I refuse to rent anything and will advise all around me to boycott this as well.

1. You can't maximize the screen while watching a YouTube rental

2. It lags and stops on and off

3. It's not super-high quality.

I hope that YouTube will add a proper bandwidth detection mechanism when Rentals comes out of Beta. With Netflix I can watch movies even on my slow and unreliable connection. Does not work so with YouTube, and YouTube does not switch into lower-res lower-bitrate in case of bandwidth starvation. This must be fixed, or no one will use this pay service.

I love rentals! As a filmmaker its great way to distribute my films. I have never seen people complain about watching a movie for .99 cents. Its the same damn price as renting a movie at a store. I don't see why people hate it. Who ever created rentals, thank you! I love rentals.

Store rentals don't make you return the disc within 24 hours, and normally video rental places don't keep 4-minute videos on the shelves.

Nope it gives the uploader the option to select how long the video will be avaliable to that person. 24, 48, 72, 7 days are the choices. So its all good.
