Why is everyone getting so upset about the cage? It's called crate training folks, it's not cruel, it's the closes thing to a natural surrounding for a dog. Ever seen wild dogs? They hang out in "dens". Why? Because that's where they feel safe, it's their home.
Crate training is a great way to potty train your pup and getting your pup used to his mobile kennel's a good thing, that way he doesn't go off and get into the garbage or anything else bad for him.

crate training seems cruel, but it pays off later. trust me, i hated it, and i only did it minimally...just a couple hours a day and at night...but irritating your dog with high pitched sounds really isn't cool. they hear on a whole different level than we do- what seems cute to us is painful for them. just a thought...other than that, cute puppy. =)
