What a load of pretentious crap. You'd think Core actually believed that their 'Next Gen experiment' would pay off. It's sad to see people like Rich Morton involved in this disaster. He was a gifted, imaginative level designer who did Temple of Xian in TR2 (and, more or less single-handedly stole the show) & the South Pacific set in TR3 and presided over the team for TR4. The level design in AOD, however, sucks - at least in the 'final' version, the only version I'm bothered to care about.
@IndalecioCeleste If EIDOS hasn't forced them to make it so fast AND change engine halfway through then the're wouldnt be need to hurry. But they did hurry and stuff was cut off in the proccess. Also, any hard core TR fan wouldn't really have a problem playing. And,why are the graphics 2/5?It should at least be 4 except if you judge by what graphics game shave now which would be retarded. The controls were stiff because as I said it was a new engine halfway through the making. But anywayz...
@flamesdemon19 Any true Tomb Raider fan would have expected a game that had some redeeming qualities. If you can readily accept this game despite its myriad of flaws, and still enjoy it, that's fine by me. But I highly suggest you find some more acceptable games to play, and also find something better to do with your time besides comment on something I stated over a year ago.
@IndalecioCeleste I am a true TR fan and that's why I could play AOD.Any TR fan would have accepted the flaws.I personaly didn't notice so many untill I started reading thousands of hate comments on sites. Now any hard core TR fan which I try to be would not notice any at all and still enjoy it.But to the acceptable part,I believe by acceptable game you mean Anniversary or Legend for example?Well,I can say they were something fresh and even enjoyable but they ruined the challenges and story of TR
@flamesdemon19 You're right about TR Anniversary and Legend...and Underworld was that way too. I enjoyed the silence and ambience of the original five so much. I loved running around and only hearing the background noise and my own gunshots. It really felt like I was exploring a tomb that nobody had been in for thousands of years. I just can't play TR AOD again. I finished it once, and that's enough for me. All I remember is getting stuck in walls, clunky controls, and unfinished plots.
@IndalecioCeleste I agree with you and I really felt like exploring tombs for real. You can interact with anything. It has what none of the next gen games have. It's atmospheric and everything you see,you can interact with. But how is underworld fluid and enjoyable? It wasn't till long that from all those bugs I started hitting my controller!Bugs everywhere.I could pass through walls and trees, there were invisible walls everywhere and OMG the traps,so useless
@flamesdemon19 No, I thought Underworld was mediocre. The combat was heavily flawed, it was way too short, and all of the atmosphere of the original games was removed. And there were no real boss fights. You never actually got to fight the Kraken, or Natla. It was a glorified obstacle course.
@IndalecioCeleste Yes.But what about the rest crappy stuff?I mean, the traps first of all didn't do shit.I cold easily get through them. And the ancients conveniently created things for Lara to use to get past.Like in Valhale, the turning things that had those things to grab above them. And once I remeber accidentaly pressing the stunt button and getting past a trap. And all those glitchys.I was just exploring and suddenly the map dissapeared.I could pass through trees, fly,be fireproof! It's awful...
wow, your sad!

@BradleyS95 In this case, the word is an abbreviation of "you" and "are" so it should be spelt "you're".

This game's final verdict:
Graphics: 2/5
Sound: 4/5
Gameplay: 1/5
Story: 1/5 "How did Lara know Joachim Karel at the end of the game? Why does the strategy guide have a character in it who was cut out of the game?"
Controls: 1/5
Overall: 1/5 "This game BLOWS"

Yes, I've noticed this. They sound fine on my computer then sound quieter on Youtube. I'll maybe have to overcompensate with the next one.
