Star Wars: Rogue Squadron was the first game to use the Expansion Pak, and they came out at the same time (the EP was packaged with Rogue Squadron, just like the Rumble Pak was bundled with StarFox 64).

I can't remember how many games required the EP, but I believe Banjo-Tooie was one, as well as Majora's Mask and Donkey Kong 64.

There is a first person two player shooter where you fight bugs. Player one has an invincible shield and p2 has a machine gun and grenade launcher. It used the memory expansion and was why I got one.
