there are like three sides to the Verve. There are Sappy songs........there are rocking numbers like BLUE and then there are poppy songs like this and Richards solo song "New York". I think they would have been more mainstream and more well known if they cut out the sappy songs to like one ot two a release though I do like their early soft stuff a lot.
@wopman1010 thank you. i knew that this is one amazing verve song out of 500 amazing songs from them. but i never tried to hear this one while driving. so...that's what i realy wanna do now. just drive and don't care about anything. thanks for your nice words. so, it has been a year since you wrote your comment. how was your MOMENT in car?

dude....is this solo Richard or what? What is this from, new? Is it a b-side.? Kinda has that poppy cheese his solo stuff did. Not really hip on this one. I would think Nick would tear it up a little more than this.
This was on The Verve: This Is Music - Singles compilation as an unreleased track along with Monte Carlo. Both were recorded during the sessions for Urban Hymns and didn't see the light of day until the compilation came out. I remember the joy and delight of hearing this song for the first time, it's a wonderful song.
I just found this video searching YouTube, great work!

Yh, this is a really good outtake. I guess the lyrics aren't too great, but the melody makes up for it

One of The Verves worst, if not the worst.
More Ashcroft than Verve.

Yeah you can tell it's The Verve because of the guitar. That's McCabe he has a distinctive style.

That is still awesome guitar work, just cos it's a euphoric sounding song does not make it any less good.
I've tried copying Nick, and it's pointless, seriusly, try learning this before you say he's not doing something special.

Them guitar parts on this tune really give that britpop-ish feel on the song.
