Looks like an epic journey. Where did you sleep? In a tent? Did you need any special paperwork for the bike? I'm thinking of doing something similar myself.
Fantastic video Andy. Watched it at least 10 times this week...about to do the same route (as far as Ghana) and these 9 minutes are a fantastic distraction from work. Could I ask you ask about the Mauritanian crossing.... Where did u stay the night before your early rise? Was it Tan-Tan or further South?
And did you make it to Nouakchott? Thats about a 400mile day isnt it?! Any info would be great...
@TheLittleWorldofGaz Sometimes very hard to find fuel stations and impossible to get unleaded, but fuel is available everywhere in bottles - just ask. It's used for generators and mopeds.
@andrewhnorris1 Yeah - it's the main thing which would worry me on a bike - at least with a land rover you could take huge tanks, did you run into any close shaves where people tried to intimidate you and it was a problem only being on a bike because it doesn't provide you much protection against them?
Amazing vid, how did you find the Central African Republic? I'm trying to organise a trip from England to Malawi and I'm still deciding the route, did you find it safe?
