Why the Baroque sung by a voice of male alto or counter tenor becomes as an unreal world? Simply divine, fascinating. Thank you for this moment and always magnificent your videos, really.
@treblechoir99 I completed reading a psychological study of why many people respond so emotionally to the high male voice. The researchers discovered that there is in fact some real phenomenon that affects listeners to varying degrees; however, they do not know yet why. Imagine hearing opera arias or church music during the Baroque era.
Oh no,this man sounds awful with this somewhat cat's timber, no matter that it's natural unbroken voice. Kowalki sounds beautiful though he is almost some kind endocrinological castrato.Thank God that now the best CTs have developed advanced technique and sound both manly and beautiful!Even Bowman's technique sounds somewhat archaich to me now though he is one of one favourites:-).IMO Oberlin just spoilt this beautiful aria. The best version I've heard so far is Taylor's with his MAGICAL cadenza!
