But there is a big difference between an ICON and an IDOL.
The idol is seen AS A GOD in ITSELF or as pointing to a god other than the God of Israel.
The Icon only points to another person that cannot be present with us. They really serve the same function as our photographs do, to remind us of loved ones, though we must define "rememberance" as a making present of a heavenly reality. "Windows into Heaven" as they are called.

There is no teaching by the apostles that we should hang pictures of apostles around us? not anywhere in their letters, the only thing Jesus asked you to remember as a visual action is baptism and the Holy Communion and as of spiritual things by meditate and apply God's word and let the Holy Spirit remind you with the word of God (if you are familiar with word of God). anything else is man made and not Godly made which is sinful or useless and bring no fruits.

Paul destroyed the icons of the idols in Ephesus and Asia
Act 19:26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:
Act 19:27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

NO PAUL did not destry ICONS because ICONS ARE NOT IDOLS. U even don't know the difference between Idols and ICONS.
Again u ARE UNDER ANATHEMA: THOSE WHO SAY the HOLY ICONS OF CHRIST are like IDOLS - to such BLASPHEMER we say: ANATHEMA
And IDOL is a PAGAN IMAGE OR STATUE OF A PAGAN GOD - often thought to be this GOD HIMSELF.
And ICON is an IMAGE OF CHRIST - the TRUE GOD INCARNATED. Icons can not be compared with IDOLS.

Icon of Christ is only a depiction which is from the face of CORRUPTIBLE MAN.
What did Paul said, "And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man.
Is the ICON an image of corruptible man or NOT?
