  • Hi Framat!! Nice channel!! Bobby is cool!! Do you know him?? Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • Hi, dear friend. Thanks for the verry nice good Musik.

Tja Bobby das ist mal was.Schade dass ich nur die höheren Töne richtig wahrnehmen kann.Auf jeden fall ein imposantes, starkes Stück.

Slàn aus Berlin I.-U.-Peter+1 "ANAM CARA"

  • NICE! So sorry it took me so long to get back to you - you're doin a real good thing here! Warmest regards Jennie Williams

  • wow! i've been into rock and blues for many years and i never heard of bobby parker. tho of course i've known some great musicians myself who will never be famous.

  • @bigkittysmile

But he is really something special - plus you can contact him here on youtube when you leave a message on his channel site.

  • ohhh den hab ich auch nicht gekannt...cool...merci a

    super gitarren sound...roh....

  • Thanks for letting me know about this cat!!

  • Thank you for the wish framat I hope all is well with you as well

  • .. very stylish history lesson in blue!

  • don't like the featured song, but this guy sounds real interesting, talent to burn no doubt, thank you for the info, gonna listen to some more of his stuff now

  • @KellyTmusically

Actually 2 songs are featured: The 1st one is recorded with british musicians - the 2nd one is recorded 10 years earlier with Paul Williams who recorded THE HUCKLEBACK. If you are more 50's orientated you proably prefer the later song :-)

  • @2011framat i should of paid a bit more attention to this, thank you for update (a bit scatter brained at times is me). I blame the music, and it blames me :)

  • thanks for sharing -

  • Thank you for sharing this unknown great! What's up with the USA and their lack of recognition for superstar blues talent? Great informative video. I want to see your others. Do you have one on JGW?

  • @ultravioleta3

I think there were too many potential blues superstars out there in the USA even from the 20's up to the 60's so if some of them weren't at the right place in the right time almost nobody took notice of them.Did you ever listen to the music of BEE HOUSTON?He was very good but is until today almost completely overlooked (unfortunately he died in the early 90's).

I did some 1-minute-cartoon tributes (but only with me playing all intruments& making up the songs):HOOKER, BO D. etc.

  • Great Video! :)

  • thx 4 upload!!!

  • I LOVE THIS STUFF!

  • Love you Bobby!

    Happy New Years late;

  • Cool work!

Actually BP inspired famous artists like the Beatles, Zep and Deep Purple...The "Watch your step" is very close to Jimmy page's one in "Moby dick"

  • @frenzexperiment I mean the riff!

  • @frenzexperiment

Thank you for stopping by and commenting - of course the riff :-)

You'll find it on many lesser known soul and R&B tunes aswell.

    Have a fine,happy&healthy 2011

  • @BOBBYPARKERBLUES Youtube is strange. I humbly admit I never heard of a Blues Legend and the first contact I get is by the Blues Legend himself, lol. Happy to subscribe

  • @Deisinoful .............lololol I love Youtube Happy Holidays yall..Guitar Blues Legend Bobby Parker

  • Very nice work! Most blues fans know very little about some of the great blues pioneers. Thanks for helping spread the word!

  • Thanks man I'm lovin it, rock the BLUES...Thom

  • Excellent cartoon, Framat - thanks for pm'ing me about it. I got a copy of Watch Your Step 2nd hand many years ago, didn't know what it would be like, but the name of the artist & the song and the record label looked interesting, and when I played it it nearly blew my head off, it had so much energy! A few years later I heard "I Was Gonna Quit My Baby" on a Blue Horizon LP, and from then on I was hooked. Great to know you're still playing Bobby, get over here to the UK - we need you!

  • @BackToTheBlues

"Hard but fair" is from a bLUE HORIZON LP,too.

  • @2009framat Yep, it's on In Our Own Way, Oldies But Goodes! Great album...

  • @BackToTheBlues I hope to get there soon Backtotheblues...............Guitar Blues Legend Bobby Parker

  • @maeuschen64 thank you for the kind words.........Guitar Blues Legend Bobby Parker

  • awesome!

  • great! :)

  • wonderful !

  • Awesome !!!

  • Very nice. Thank you!

  • his timing floats, but in a good way, like buddy guy =)

  • @willwelsh816

You should not judge too hard: the 2nd song is over 50 years old & proably a1st or 2nd take + B.Parker was only 20 at that time. It is not like today where many people have homestudios, dvd, cameras and guitar teachers. This music was new then and young musicians had not even the chance to record their music for rehearsals to listen to their own playing (&mistakes)&control it so comfortable like today.

    Thank you for stopping by&commenting

  • @tegmills

I created this cartoon to inspire people like you to check out on blues legend BOBBY PARKER - you have absolute no reason to be ashamed of not knowing him :-), Mr. Mills but some people who were working or even are still working in the music bussiness should be ashamed of ignoring him.

I would have done a Cartoon tribute on guitarist BEE HOUSTON,too but since he died about 15 years ago&I could not find enough infos about him to make a tribute like this one :-(

  • Thanks for the excellent and informative introduction to Bobby Parker. Great upload.

  • Great stuff.

  • Is this the robert parker that wrote barefootin?? Oh and yes I know how cruel people can be.. I suppose I have been on both sides of the fence.. once upon a time.. long ago...but I really felt they deserved it

  • @Candismilesalot

No, he is not. Some yeras ago I thought they were identical, too. But Robert Parker played saxophone and sang while Bobby Parker is a singer/guitarist.

    Thank you for your comment

    Framat

  • @2011framat I googled Bobby Parker. So many Parkers !!!! Is he Chris Parker the drummer's dad, possibly, or Robert M. Parker?? Oh I know why not visit the site Bobbyparkerblues and find out =^.^Dc

  • @Finallybenunderstood

Good idea - ask him - he has a yt-account here.

BTW when I wrote him that many music fans in Germany were not positive if Robert & Bobby were the same (years ago) - he wrote back telling me he is not sure but they could be related.

  • @2011framat that's okay.. I gotta keep focused.. I am one of those who can get sidetracked so easily because I like so much... but for the pure fans (I am a Mick Jagger addict best to stay focused on his leads, so to speak)... this is a fantastic revelation he is great.. thank you ~o~oX~o!

    God Bless

  • Fantastic tribute to a true legend! Thank you for making this wonderful video!!

  • Sweet, sweet soul music!

  • Thank you for sharing!!

  • Parker came to Chicago, (for what I believe is the last time so far), c1985. I was fortunate to hear his show & meet him. A great entertainer & a gracious man. A newcomer'd never guess his background merely from going to this show: Bobby looked much younger than any man who could possibly have such a great, long history, & made no sales-pitch about himself, on or off-stage... he let the music do that.

  • This is great. Laura

  • i dig this...60's sound !!

  • way to go, homie=) Mr Tiger

  • Fantastic video and music!^)))5*)/

    BRAVO!
