  • can you put the years on these fuckin vids

  • Oh i get it, fred was out there working hard as fuck and his ex was busy playing with her own chimney stacks at home THE DIRTY......

  • What year was this?

  • Happiest Married Man in the Traction Engine Club

Possibly the sweetest thing I've ever heard!

Fred Dibnah = Top bloke. RIP.

  • YEAH TYPICAL GOLD DIGGER TAKING EVERYTHING FOR WHAT YA WORTH, WHAT A SHAME ! BITCH !

  • Goes to show my new prejudices are wrong. I'd been told fairly recently that Yorkies and Lancashire types sounded the same but that only Lanks had a sense of humour! As with all prejudices, it seemed to be sort of true to me but of course I only noticed the reinforcing stuff. Still, disappointed in Fred here. Bitter old goat.

  • fred is missed so much and i bet those traction engines are missing him too

  • This has got to be a satire. I didn't realise until I moved to the UK what a bunch of moaning depressives Yorkshiremen are. Our Fred was a miserable, homophobic git if it's real.

  • @johnnyterumo Fred is from Bolton, in Lancashire, a watered down Yorkshireman, you could say........

Though, Fred the Fast from Yorkshire was quite outlooking, in a shove ha'penny sense, yoo toob search,

    watch?v=r_XIzQGR3JY

  • @closertofiftythanyew watered down yorkshire man he was not lol, my house is 6 doors away from freds and he was a proud Lancashire man !

  • @bobnudd That's what I meant, he was a Lancashire lad.

Now blokes from Yorkshire, they a few steps up, really do moan and really put the world to rights, just look at Geoff Boycott. Be lucky that Fred was from Lancashire, who didn't overdo it like your average yorkie bloke.

  • @bobnudd oh yes, the 'Fred the Fast' I was referring to in my first comment was the fast bowler Fred Trueman from Yorkshire, RIP too.

  • greatest guy ever!

  • dont be so descisive,i loved fred but we cant go around sayin what we dont know.Fred was like us all not perfect ,please dont spoil his reputation with speculative assumpsions.

  • Freds description of Britain becoming like the Roman empire towards its end+demise was so precise,in the last ten years it's got 1000% worse. With even more people doing even less work.I remeber when you used to go down town in the week and it would be sparsely populated as everyone was at work, you go down now and everyday is like a saturday, the number of times I've asked myself "Dont these people work?",crammed with chavs, slappers+immigrants none work all relying on the state for their dole

  • 2:18 onwards.... How true, how true.

  • Fred had a number of hobbies - steam engines and shagging being the principle ones. I once spent a very convival evening with him drinking in Bolton and formed the opinion that he would fuck a frog if he could stop it hopping!

  • he did later on "betsy"

  • I wonder if he re-named his steamroller...

  • He should have married a farmers daughter who is used to getting their hands dirty, all that mucking out and all that. Bet he would have found it hard to keep her hands off his steam engine, no doubt!

  • i wish people today was as hard working and genuine as fred, if they was england would be a much better place, instead of all these young people stabbing each other and claiming every benefit under the sun! Have so pride in doing a days work.

  • it's not people on benefits taking the 150 quid a week, it's the gamblers disguised as bankers that do most harm to the country. don't kick the down-and-outs when it's the rich kids taking us for a ride. you are targeting the wrong people.

  • You are on a wind up eh?

  • it takes a lot of 'scroungers' on 150 quid a week to make up to the billions the tax payer has had to spend to bail out the banks!

  • The scroungers don't pay tax! Go back to the socialist worker stand on Market Street fella!

n.b. I believe both the vermin at the top and the vermin at the bottom are responsible for the shit state this country is in now!

  • i think you'll find scroungers pay VAT, old chap. Along with tax on cigs and alcohol. Doing their bit.

  • Here, Here!

  • @wil828 outstanding, please dont hold back lol seriously thats a great point im a 49 year old seafarer, ive met more kids with respect onboard ship than i have at home on leave.

  • He was so well known that any woman should have seen what they were getting in to, but like most woman they believe they can change thier men in to what they want, more fool them, Fred was a great man, unusual couldn't his wifes see that someone special.

  • All women, and i mean all women hold men back in life.

  • that skeeming cunt. anyone know where the bitch is now? i fucking hate women like her, heather mills type. my brother will rob the cunt, he dont give a fuck

  • She used him for his money,

and even made him ill with cancer.

Scheming woman walked away with everything- shes even got rid of all his stuff. Heartless bitch.

  • You are a fucking idiot end of.

Fred was living in the past and had no respect for women what so ever, he cared more for machinery and chimneys than real people especially women and I don't blame any of his WIVES for fucking off.

As an engineer/tradesman myself I respect him as an engineer/tradesman but strongly disrespect his attitude towards women.

  • Silly bitch didn't know which side her bread was buttered on.

  • now come on how did he think he was going to keep a young bird,i mean look at the age of him, she must of been having a good time behind his back,he can't of been that silly,

  • I worked on smokestacks for 15 years and it cost me 3 wifes. They would last about 5 years each lol!! ;-}

  • There's many a true word spoken in jest (as they say)! But Fred was absolutely spot on. It all seems very unfair. He might still be with us today were it not for 'Petticoat Rule'(to quote an old phrase).

His values may seem old fashioned to some people - but here was a man with real engineering skills. Those skills form the basis upon which all modern technology was founded.

Just look at the situation we find ourselves in today - in a Society driven by finance.

    I rest my case !

  • A sad day for Fred

  • it must have been.
