  • Wood burning biomass plants could be more polluting than coal-fired power stations, unless the wood comes from sustainable and well-managed sources

  • I hear oil from algae grown on land as well as biofuels from leftover, unused liquids such as french fry grease may be the way to go. have you seen "fuel" the movie? so cool! it's now on hulu to watch for FREE. thanks, jackie:)

  • The biggest concern is as said the food shortages. Its already happening with ethanol. Farms are converting to corn because the ethanol companies pay more and as a result supply of other crops is dropping extremely fast and prices are rising. Ive noticed bread prices have been going up a lot more recently. In fact in certain countries this has already caused rioting. Before implementing this system producers would need to find a way to avoid similar problems.
