  • @pcworld88 Three months following the release of Firefox 4.0, Mozilla has released the next incarnation of the browser Firefox 5.0. By the end of the summer Firefox 6.0 will be out, and a few months after that expect to see Firefox 7.0 but if you need to download 4 not 5 here is the link firefox4 . com no spaces between dots. If your Internet Explorer is not working and you want to install FF as an alternative just connect to the Mozilla FTP download "open releases . mozilla . org"

  • @techstreaming thanks, i just downloaded it, i was having problems with 5. but all i see between those new versions of firefox is no difference

  • @taha20002 Firefox will only use one profile at a time. It does this by putting a lock file in your profile folder when it starts. When you exit Firefox, the lock file is removed. If the lock file already exists when you start Firefox, or in a few other cases where the profile cannot be opened, Firefox displays an error message!

TRY THIS: Instead of restarting your computer, you can also use the Windows Task Manager to close the existing Firefox process:

  • y doesnt my internet work on mozilla firefox but it does on internet explorer

  • @kenalf123 Please see video "Windows XP - How do I repair Internet Explorer"

The ability to Repair Internet Explorer does not exist in the version that ships with Windows XP. This feature only becomes available after you upgrade to a newer version. However, you can reinstall IE in Windows XP by clicking Start, Run and entering the following command:

    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf

You will need to have your XP CD available.
