For Joe Pa playing a FR QB it was not that bad. Red zone mistakes were the key but they were rookie mistakes by the QB except for the fumble in the red zone. Penn State has promise with that QB though. I think he did better than most true FR would have done against Bama and in that enviorment.
Okay I am a Buckeye fan and all respect to Bama fans. I love Bama is back. Bama being back gives a feeling of the old days of college football. If Notre Dame just could get back that would be perfect. Now for Penn St. that game was winnable but you took a FR QB into a game he really should not have been starting in. I mean the 1979 sugar bowl between these teams pretty much made them rivals for ever. @moonpetals69 you have to admit if texas offense hadnt lost a key player, the game would have went in a different direction of more of a toss up. without colt, bama was going to win regardless, that freshman threw like 2 pics and 1 for a td at least. bamas offense scored only once after 2nd half and that was in 4th quarter. Texas had the defense to stop bama... they just didnt have the offense. regardless it was a pretty good game

For Joe Pa playing a FR QB it was not that bad. Red zone mistakes were the key but they were rookie mistakes by the QB except for the fumble in the red zone. Penn State has promise with that QB though. I think he did better than most true FR would have done against Bama and in that enviorment.

Okay I am a Buckeye fan and all respect to Bama fans. I love Bama is back. Bama being back gives a feeling of the old days of college football. If Notre Dame just could get back that would be perfect. Now for Penn St. that game was winnable but you took a FR QB into a game he really should not have been starting in. I mean the 1979 sugar bowl between these teams pretty much made them rivals for ever.
