Unlike the rest of the album, the guitar solos just seem to get in the way of what is a great vocal performance by Jeff Martin! I love PG to death, but this is song is the clearest indication of what they were as a BAND, rather than just an excuse to shred with a backing track of drums, bass, and vocals. Jeff's performance in this track on the album was brilliant - my guess is he plugged for it at the time.
Racer X - I prefer their less flashy songs like Time before the Sun tho, but... man do they ROCK!!!... back in those days, I could only afford to buy cassette tapes when I bought their albums... CDs in particular the players were still too expensive for a student like me.
This band WAS L.A, when I lived there. The whole spirit of my experience at GIT was filled with the looming presence of a band that was to not to be reckoned with. Racer-X are legends in my book. The whole scene changed quickly, and Seattle took away the attention. I miss those days, and that intense feeling a lot. ApB
I am not 100% sure, but I think this was one our favorite places to play too..Rialto, CA..I think they were opening for Y&T on this night..the hat wasn't a normal piece of flair..lol.
Thanks. I was a roadie for Warrent, Odin, Racer X, and Baton Rouge at the time. Great Freakin Times that can never be repeated again. I glad I was a part of it.

Man, this brings back some great memories. I saw Racer X play the Troubadour on July 3, 1987. Hell of a show.

Amen Brother.
The early 90s was the beginning of the end, of real the REAL L.A. music scene.

It did happen, and that is all that matters. Cheers

Ridiculous. Great shredding, but not in the spirit of the real song.

Bad cover, they destroyed all dynamics, Paul don't know when to play less, almost as bad as a punk cover.

In my opinion the David Bowie version of this song is way much better. hairmetal seems so... boring after more than 20 minutes listening to it
