  • mr big + the mars volta + judas priest = RACER FUCKIN´ XXXXXXXX !!!!!!

  • Unlike the rest of the album, the guitar solos just seem to get in the way of what is a great vocal performance by Jeff Martin! I love PG to death, but this is song is the clearest indication of what they were as a BAND, rather than just an excuse to shred with a backing track of drums, bass, and vocals. Jeff's performance in this track on the album was brilliant - my guess is he plugged for it at the time.

  • oh the COLORS!!!

  • WOW, OMG I'M IN LOVE!!!!!!

  • i dont remember david bowie ever doing hair metal.

  • great sweeping

  • KICK ASS!!! Wish I had been there.

  • Racer X - I prefer their less flashy songs like Time before the Sun tho, but... man do they ROCK!!!... back in those days, I could only afford to buy cassette tapes when I bought their albums... CDs in particular the players were still too expensive for a student like me.

  • man those sweeps are so badass

  • Man, this brings back some great memories. I saw Racer X play the Troubadour on July 3, 1987. Hell of a show.

  • This band WAS L.A, when I lived there. The whole spirit of my experience at GIT was filled with the looming presence of a band that was to not to be reckoned with. Racer-X are legends in my book. The whole scene changed quickly, and Seattle took away the attention. I miss those days, and that intense feeling a lot. ApB

  • Amen Brother.

The early 90s was the beginning of the end, of real the REAL L.A. music scene.

  • It did happen, and that is all that matters. Cheers

  • Ridiculous. Great shredding, but not in the spirit of the real song.

  • I am not 100% sure, but I think this was one our favorite places to play too..Rialto, CA..I think they were opening for Y&T on this night..the hat wasn't a normal piece of flair..lol.

  • whos the other awsome guitarist the one playing the green guitar

  • that would be bruce bouillet...he was just as good as paul

  • Yeah, and frankly I think bruce's notechoice are alot more interesting!

  • Thank you David Bowie for this song so Racer X could put a progressive metal flair on it.

  • I have been playing for 23 years and still wonder how the fuck these guys can shred ? I can play fast but cant not shred.

  • Guess Paul and Co practiced scales and apreggios so much they just got awesomly good at it

  • Racer X kix ass !!!

  • Paullll Gilbertttttt !!!!!

  • I can't believe at this time I was listening to rap and MTV hair bands and never heard of Paul and the gang.

  • hahahahaha nice clothes

  • I was there. Life altering.

  • go juan!

  • Racer x was fucking awesome!!

All top notch players great tunes loved them back in the 80s and still jam them weekly now in the new century.

  • These guys are incredible and if you dont like somthing they did dont fucking listen, its your loss. Bitching about somthing is a waste of time

  • wtf u met paul gilbert lol

he is god, I would just knee down and stand there until he gives me an order

  • i met paul gilbert at a gig in london recently, my mate asked him why Bruce wasnt with him...Paul said "hes to expensive these days"...

    Racer X forever!

  • excuse me sir, but might i ask...are you a homo?

why dont you take your p diddy records and shove them so far up your ass you shit fried chicken for weeks

  • Since when records turns into fried chicken?

For a homo hater you really do strange experiments with your ass, surely you are a shredassmaster, for 88 weeks and more...

"Heart of the Lion" is a better cover.

  • Heart of a Lion isnt a cover, It was written with Rob Halford for Racer X

  • xuxa bruce PLEASE RETURN TO RACER X

  • Bruce & Paul shred on my brothers...

  • Muito foda!!!

  • I love how this band performances on stage, most excellent.

  • Paul Gilbert es un dios!!!

  • Paul Gilbert no es un dios... PAUL GILBERT ES DIOS!!!!!!!!!

  • Están cabrones!!!

  • They rules!

  • Is this singer crazy?

  • NOPE! He just knows how to wear tight leather pants with ease!

  • gay

  • gay that faggot of markdehamel

  • Oooh! Did something get up your nose, then?

  • Well, sorry I rattled your cage! I just happen to like guys who wear leather pants! And so do LOTS of other cool guys!

  • no....have you ever heard of stage presence?

  • In my opinion the David Bowie version of this song is way much better. hairmetal seems so... boring after more than 20 minutes listening to it

  • escpecially since this isn't hair metal

  • GILBERT I LOVE YOU

  • There is a point when glam goes up its own arse, and I think we've reached it!

  • who cares? the musics awesome! and bruce and paul are gods.

  • Also funny to see the singer Jeff Martin in the movie Thunder Alley as the singer in Surgical Steel

  • I wouldn't be bragging about being a roadie for Odin after they made such asses of themselves in Decline Of The Western Civilization Part 2 LOL!

  • Awesome.........

  • racer x rules

  • xpurtrcl - what's your name? I had a couple of friends that roadied for those same bands. Unfortunatly Clint passed away, but I'm sure you knew him.

  • The solo Bruce does on 2nd heat is probably one of my all time faves..I wonder where this was filmed..

  • At the Country Club in Reseda, CA. I setup and ran lights.

  • good job, this your footage? My 1st ever club gig was racer x and ughhh, this other band...anyways, great night, they were amazing.

  • Thanks. I was a roadie for Warrent, Odin, Racer X, and Baton Rouge at the time. Great Freakin Times that can never be repeated again. I glad I was a part of it.
